Abstract

1,103,881. Refrigerators. UNILEVER Ltd. 8 July, 1965 [15 May, 1964], No. 20431/64. Heading F4H. In apparatus for circulating air cooled by refrigeration apparatus 3 over foodstuffs on a conveyer 1 means are provided for removing entrained ice crystals from the air stream. As illustrated air circulates in a continuous duct through which passes the conveyer 1 and a filler band 8 which is continuously moved by a motor 9, Fig. 1 (not shown), and cleaned by a brush 12. Ice removed from the filler band falls into a tray 13. In modifications (not shown) the ice may be removed by a centrifugal separator, ultrasonic vibration, or electrostatic precipitation.
