Abstract
1,093,642. Transformers. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. April 6, 1965 [April 6, 1964], No. 14519/65. Heading H1T. Before shipment, a quantity of cooling oil 12 in a transformer tank 11, bushing or cable terminal box is removed to a detachable expansion vessel 4 via a pipe 2 and hand pump 3, the pumping causing nitrogen 13 to flow from the vessel 4 to the tank 11 via a pipe 5. After shipment, oil 12<SP>1</SP> from the vessel 4 is filled into the tank through a pipe containing valves 8, 8<SP>1</SP> and a Buchrolz relay 7 and nitrogen 13<SP>1</SP> flows from the tank to the vessel via pipe 5. A pipe 9 may also be provided for oil return. To prevent entry of air into the nitrogen space 13, nitrogen may be supplied through a pipe 14.
