Abstract

1,090,554. Anchoring nuts. E. CHEETHAM. June 28, 1966 [Aug. 6, 1965], No. 33825/65. Heading F2H. An anchor nut for embedding in concrete comprises a bore, screw-threaded over an intermediate portion and blind at one end, and having at least one flange 2 which is square in plan and extends towards the open end of the bore. In use the nut is attached to a bar and inserted into the concrete whilst it is wet, the bar being removed before the concrete has hardened to leave an access hole for a bolt.
