Abstract
An alloy has the following percentage composition, by weight;- .Ti.more than 0.8-3.5 .Al.1-2 .Nb.2-less than 5 .Fe.15-28 .Cr.12-22 .Mo.6-11 .B.0-0.15 .Co.0-15 .C.0-0.15 .Zr.0-0.15 .Hf.0-0.015 .V.0-0.3 .Ni.the remainder Nb is replaceable wholly or in part by Ta on an atomic basis and W may be present up to one-half the percentage of Mo on an atomic basis, W plus Mo not exceeding 14. The alloy may be stress relieved at 19750 DEG F., solution treated at 1900-2100 DEG F. and aged firstly at 1400 DEG F. and then at 1200 DEG F.
