Abstract
A coin-operated amusement machine enabling a player to simulate the card game "Pontoon" with the machine as his opponent includes means rendered operable by the insertion of a coin for arbitrarily selecting the cards dealt to the player, means for indicating the selected cards in succession as drawn by the player and for indicating the player's total score as it mounts, means by which the player can stop drawing cards when he wishes to challenge the machine, means for selecting and indicating the score to beat, and means for actuating a pay-out mechanism when the player wins. Preferably the first inserted coin makes three cards available to the player and a second coin a further two cards. The machine may pay-out cash, tokens or vouchers.
