Abstract

The invention relates to merocyanine dyes of the formula <FORM:1079075/C4-C5/1> in which R1 and R2 represent CH3 and n-C3H7, CH3 and n-C4H9, C2H5 and n-C4H9 or C2H5 and n-C5H11, and in which R3 represents an alkyl radical which may be substituted by a -COOH, -SO3H or O.SO3H or an alkali metal or an ammonium salt thereof or by an OH group. These dyes are prepared by the usual condensation methods.
