Abstract

1,075,715. Platform elevators. JARKE CORPORATION. June 10, 1965, No. 24615/65. Heading B8H. The platform 14 of a platform elevator is maintained parallel to the wheeled base 12 by two pairs of X-links 16 and is raised and lowered by a screw and nut mechanism 18. The mechanism 18 comprises a pair of ball screws 50 each pivotally connected at its upper end to a pin 52 supported by channel members secured to the platform. Each screw 50 engages a ball nut (60), Fig. 5 (not shown), secured to a torque tube (56) mounted for rotation in bearings (58) by means of an electric motor 62. The mechanism 18 forms a unitary assembly which is pivoted to the base 12 at 82.
