1,048,465. Delivering sheets. LEIPZIGER BUCHBINDEREIMASCHINENWERKE VEB. Feb. 21, 1964, No. 7409/64. Heading B6H. A gathering and stitching machine for producing booklets or brochures having a feed saddle 1 and sensing means in the feed path for detecting incomplete brochures, is provided with a device for separating incomplete brochures from a stream thereof comprising a finger 5 located in the surface of the feed saddle which is lifted under the control of the sensing means to move one half of an incomplete brochure into the bite of a rotating mandrel 6 and endless belt 7.
