Abstract

103,932. Hastings, J. B., and Barber, F. M. May 29, 1916. Bolts.-Advertising-signs are fixed to walls by hollow bolts a having their ends capable of being spread outwards when driven into prepared holes, and containing holes b through which a fixing- cement is poured. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the bolt is provided with hinged flaps c, and the outer end is covered with a screwed cap g. In the construction shown in Fig. 5, the bolt is provided with prongs e<1>, and the end is closed by a cap l having spring clips m engaging holes in the bolt. The outer end of the bolt may be closed by a round-headed screw, and the prongs spread out by a conical piece inserted in the hole.
