Base units or cabinets 10 are connected to a common top-piece 12 by slidably engaging blocks 21 in a longitudinal guideway 15 in its undersurface and passing the shanks of screws 24 through slots 19 in angle brackets 16, which are secured to the cabinets 10, and screwing them into threaded holes in the blocks 21. The position of the cabinets may thus be adjusted by loosening the screws 24 and sliding the blocks 21 in the guideway 15.
