Abstract

Cyclododecane-, cyclododecene- and cyclododecadiene-carboxylic acids and their esters are made by reacting cyclododecatriene, CO and water or an alcohol at 100-200 DEG C. and under pressure of at least 150 kg./cm.2 in presence of a catalyst comprising Fe, Co or Ni or a salt or carbonyl compound thereof.
