Abstract

New nicotinic acid esters of 1:4,3:6-dianhydro hexitols are prepared by reacting nicotinic acid alkyl esters with the dianhydrohexitols under transesterification conditions. Pharmaceutical preparations comprise the new esters with carriers. Forms for oral, parenteral and topical administration as vasodilators are described.
