Abstract

1,010,525. Seed sowers. E. A. WEBB Ltd., and J. M. WEBB. July 23, 1964 [April 25, 1963], No. 16396/63. Heading AlD. In a seed sower similar to that described in Specification 795,062 the pivoted ejector plate 24 has an extension engaged by a fixed pad or abutment 29 to prevent clockwise rotation and consequently excessive frictional contact of the leading part 28 of the plate with the base of the groove 23 of the selector wheel 21. A gap exists between an arcuate wall 16 and the periphery of the selector wheel such that dust may be dispensed from a seed chamber 14 via an opening 20. The selector wheel may have one or more rows of pockets, but preferably has two such rows each connected by a groove and each groove having an ejector plate therein.
