Abstract

A gaseous fuel comprises (percentages by gas volume) 12 to 22% dimethyl ether and 88 to 78% propane, preferably 15 and 85% respectively. These figures correspond to 12.3 to 22.5% dimethyl ether, 87.7 to 77.5% propane, preferably 15.4 to 84.6% respectively, by weight of liquid. The preferred percentages comprise an azeotrope of higher vapour pressure than either propane or dimethyl ether.
