Description

INFO-ENTERTAINMENT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE.

The present invention relates generally to an infotainment device mounted in a vehicle interior and a vehicle comprising such an infotainment device. The present invention further relates to a vehicle information display method.

The vehicle interiors and in particular the driver's station now include one or more screens for providing the driver with driving information, vehicle information, navigation information or entertainment information.

[0003] It is thus known in the prior art infotainment devices provided with two touch screens displaying information and giving the possibility of transferring information from one touch screen to another by a movement of the hand. The document US20170277503 describes such a device.

In return, this system has the disadvantage of not providing the transfer of information to a screen already comprising one or more information and also to present a low level of comfort for the user.

An object of the present invention is to meet the disadvantages of the document of the prior art mentioned above and in particular to propose an infotainment system for transferring information from a first screen to a second screen displaying one or more other information.

For this, a first aspect of the invention relates to an infotainment device for a vehicle, comprising: • a first screen, • a second screen, • a control interface, • a computer connected to the first screen, to the second screen and the control interface, the computer being configured to - display at least one information on the first screen, - perform a transfer of the first screen to the second screen of said information following a transfer command received by the control interface, characterized in that the computer is further configured to display said transferred information in a temporary position on the second screen.

For example, the information is represented in the form of thumbnails or tiles, possibly resizable and / or movable within each of the first and second screens.

The provisional position adopted by the transferred information makes it possible to wait or to ask the user to assign a definitive position to the transferred information. Thus, the present infotainment device is easy and pleasant to use and does not impose a predefined position on the transferred information. In addition, it does not require the user to make a new selection command to position the transferred information in the desired position.

Especially advantageously, the computer is further configured to display the information transferred to a final position on the second screen following a positioning command received by the control interface. The user can therefore transfer information from one screen to a desired position on the second screen in only two commands, making the present infotainment system effective and intuitive to use.

For example, a prior control for selecting the information to be transferred may be necessary.

Advantageously, the control interface comprises a touch layer integrated with each of the first and the second screen and the transfer and positioning commands can therefore be tactile commands made by a movement of one or more fingers of the user intuitively. Alternatively or in combination, the control interface further comprises other devices such as a touchpad, a wheel, one or more physical or virtual buttons or a joystick.

Advantageously, the transfer control comprises moving the information tile to a predetermined edge of the first screen, or to a portion of a predetermined edge of the first screen. This displacement can be achieved by a sliding of a finger on the first screen and for example a shift of the initial position of the information at the predetermined edge or the predetermined edge portion. Alternatively or in combination, a transfer control can be performed by a specific tactile movement or by a button or a dedicated lever.

Advantageously, the positioning control comprises moving the information displayed from the temporary position to any position on the second screen. Such a move is also fast and intuitive for a user and makes the present infotainment device easy to use. Alternatively or in combination, the transfer control includes a position or direction indication entered by the user on the control interface.

Advantageously, the computer is configured to move the information displayed from the temporary position to a predetermined final position if no positioning command is received within a predefined time. Thus, if the user can not or does not wish to make a choice as to the final position of the information transferred, the transferred information is displayed in a final default position by the computer after a predetermined time to avoid to keep the information transferred to the provisional position. For example, a predefined delay can be from 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

A second aspect of the invention is a vehicle comprising at least one infotainment device according to the first aspect of the invention.

Advantageously, this vehicle has a cockpit with a steering wheel, and the first and second screens are located on either side of the steering wheel.

A final aspect of the invention is a vehicle information display method comprising a first screen and a second screen, the method comprising the steps of: - displaying information on the first screen, - receiving a transfer control of said displayed information, - transfer said information by displaying it in a temporary position on the second screen.

Figure 1 shows a vehicle interior 1, provided with a driving position equipped with a steering wheel 2 and a first screen 3 and a second screen 4 each arranged on either side of the steering wheel 2. In addition, the illustration of Figure 1 also shows a head-up display device 5 displaying information in the field of view of the driver, as known to those skilled in the art.

The first screen 3 and the second screen 4 are tactile, that is to say they include an integrated control interface for receiving commands from one or more fingers of a driver or from another user. In addition, other devices may be part of the control interface such as a touchpad, a wheel, a joystick, one or more buttons or levers or a camera reading the movements of a hand. Finally, the first screen 3, the second screen 4 and the control interface are electrically connected to a not shown computer comprising calculation means, storage means and electrical and electromagnetic interfaces as known to those skilled in the art. This calculator is configured to display information on the first and second screen and to receive commands from a user through the control interface.

Figures 2A-2E show the different steps of an information display method according to one aspect of the present invention.

Thus, in a first step S1, the computer displays on the first screen 3 a set of information represented for example in the form of an assembly of tiles or thumbnails A1-A3 and on the second screen 4 information represented for example in the form of thumbnails B1-B4. These thumbnails can take any appropriate shape and size. For example, they can be moved or updated by the computer according to a command from the control interface or according to information received by the computer.

Each sticker A1-A3 and B1-B4 can independently display information selected by the driver or proposed by default by the infotainment system and including information related to the driving of the vehicle, for example a speed or a engine speed, safety-related information such as weather information, outdoor temperature or the display of the last cross-traffic sign, map information such as a map portion or a direction to follow, or entertainment information such as a radio frequency or musical track played by the infotainment system.

The information displayed by each sticker can also be represented textually by a pictogram, an image, numbers or a combination thereof.

The present infotainment device allows an intuitive transfer of information displayed on one of the first and second screens to display on the other of the first or second screen.

Thus, in a second step shown in Figure 2A, a user can select one of the information displayed on the first screen 3, for example the A3 sticker. This selection command can be done by pressing for a duration greater than a certain time threshold, pressing with a pressure greater than a certain pressure threshold, double pressing or moving into a mode of selection by a button. physical or tactile not shown.

In a third step shown in FIG. 2B, the user moves the sticker A3 towards a zone on the edge of the first screen, for example the central portion of the left edge 3a of the first screen 3. This displacement can be achieved by a sliding the finger on the first screen 3 of the initial position of the sticker A3 to the central portion of the left edge 3a, or, alternatively, by a command on another device of the control interface. This displacement of the sticker A3 is interpreted by the computer as a transfer command to the second screen 4, that is to say that the sticker A3 disappears from the first screen 3 and appears on the second screen 4.

Following this transfer step, the computer preferentially reconfigures the display of the remaining information on the first screen 3, that is to say, it resizes the thumbnails A1 and A2 so as to maximize their surface area. on the first screen 3.

In a fourth step shown in Figure 2C, the A3 sticker appears on the second screen 4 and is displayed by the computer in a temporary position, for example in the center of the second screen 4. This temporary position allows to wait and to request a command from the user and can be illustrated by a different display of the information or the A3 sticker, for example a different color, a border, a flicker or a dashed frame as shown in Figure 2D.

In a fifth step, the user can then choose a final position for the A3 sticker displayed in the provisional position. To do this, the user will move the thumbnail A3 and position it in a position of the second screen where it wants it to appear, for example the upper right corner in Figures 2D and 2E. This displacement can be achieved by a sliding of a finger of the user or a brief press on the desired portion of the second screen 4. This movement is then interpreted by the computer as a positioning command and the computer then displays the thumbnail A3 in the upper right corner of the second screen 4, as shown in Figure 2E.

Thus, by the combination of the transfer control and the temporary position of the information on the second screen, the present infotainment device is comfortable and intuitive to use and allows to simply insert information on a screen already containing information displayed. In addition, the positioning control for bringing the information into a final position can be achieved directly without intermediate step.

Thus, the displaced information replaces the information displayed in this portion of the second screen, that is to say that the A3 sticker replaces the previously displayed B2 thumbnail on the second screen 4.

It will be understood that various modifications and / or improvements obvious to those skilled in the art can be made to the various embodiments of the invention described in the present description without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, reference is made to the display of information on the screens which is not limited to a thumbnail or tile, but may include any information display mode appropriate to a vehicle.

In addition, the present infotainment device is not limited to two screens, but may include one or more additional screens, for example a head-up display device 5 and / or a handset screen.
