Abstract

The invention relates to a device (10) for monitoring a driver (4) of a transport vehicle (1), comprising a device (11) for acquiring data relating to a movement of the driver's body and a unit control element (12) programmed to determine an instruction for controlling an organ of the vehicle as a function of at least part of the data relating to the movement of the body acquired by the acquisition device. According to the invention, said monitoring device (10) further comprises a correction module (14) of said data relating to the movement of the body of the driver, comprising in memory predetermined data relating to at least one repetitive movement of the body of the driver and programmed to identify in said data relating to the movement of the body of the driver acquired a set of data corresponding to said predetermined data relating to said repetitive movement, and to eliminate said set of data identified in the previous step from the part of the data relating to body movement taken into account by the control unit to determine said control instruction. The invention also relates to an associated method.
