Field of the invention

The present invention relates to a package in the form of a rectangular box receiving layers of elements of rectangular panels of different dimensions inscribing in the basic shape of the box.

State of the art

Packages or packaging of the type defined above are known.

In general, the furniture to be assembled is shipped in a disassembled state, flat in packages in the form of rectangular boxes. In these boxes, the various elements of panels composing the future piece of furniture are arranged in layers. The larger rectangular panels define the basic shape of the package. This basic shape is delimited on all four sides by wedges of rectangular sections and of height equal to that of the box to serve as support for the panels and panel elements.

Inside this free rectangular shape, the panel elements of dimensions smaller than this inscribed shape are arranged in layers of one or two, or even three panels. In each layer, the panels are blocked with respect to each other and with respect to the contours of the box by polystyrene shims of thickness equal to each layer each time.

More explicitly, according to FIG. 5, the box 100, known, currently used for making packages of elements of Ei panels such as precut elements and prepared to produce by their assembly a piece of furniture such as a rack, a cupboard , a low cabinet or a suspended or installed kitchen unit. Such furniture generally consists of several elements of panels, laminate or laminate, the faces of which are prepared and decorated, as well as the edges with the assembly and handling accessories (handle, magnet). These accessories will be installed on the panel elements after receipt of the package at the time of assembly since these accessories are generally in relief relative to the surface of the panel elements.

According to the known state of the art, the panel elements are placed flat one on top of the other in successive layers in a box 100 whose dimensions are those of the largest element or elements to be packaged. The elements of dimensions smaller than those of the useful surface of the box will be combined each time in a layer to optimize the use of the volume of the box.

These elements are wedged by shims 131 inside the short sides 113 or at least with a shim 132 along a long side 112 and in the latter case, the shim corresponds only to the thickness of a layer ( panel thickness). The intermediate shims 133 separate two elements Ei, Ei + 1. One of the elements Ei + 1 is for example blocked with a complementary shim 134. The shims 131 on the short sides occupy the entire height of the box 100 while the other shims 132-135 ... have a height equal to a thickness of panel and dimensions adapted to each interval to be filled in order to wedge the panel element in the corresponding direction. This results in a large number of different shims required for packaging, even if they are sets of panel elements of the same dimensions from the same series of products.

In addition to the multiplicity of shims according to the elements of panels and the layers of a package, this requires a complex organization to have each time the shim of appropriate dimensions for the panel element placed in the box 100.

This type of packaging of elements in the form of layered panels with interposition of shims not only represents a significant consumption of expanded plastic material but also assumes that these different elements forming shims of different dimensions from one layer to another are available. at the packing station for the panel elements in the packages.

This type of package realization therefore presents a very great complexity imposed by the diversity of the dimensions of the shims used in each layer or in several layers insofar as the elements to be packaged are of the same dimensions inscribed in the free rectangle forming the base. of the box.

The panel elements are on the one hand fragile, at least at the corners and edges and on the other hand, they represent a certain weight so that it is not possible to occupy the free spaces between the edges panel elements of each layer by crumpled or chipped paper wedges due to the too irregular shape of these elements and the risk that during transport, they will slip between the panel elements from one layer to another and under the effect of certain constraints, in particular shocks, cause the packages to burst or crack.

Purpose of the invention

The object of the present invention is to develop a package in the form of a rectangular box intended for packaging elements of layered panels of the above type, which considerably simplifies the positioning of the elements of panels in the packaging at the time of packaging. by reducing waste and consumption of material for wedging the elements in the layers.

Presentation and advantages of the invention

To this end, the subject of the present invention is a package of the type defined above, characterized in that the free rectangular shape inscribed in the basic shape of the box is delimited by an end wedge of height equal to that of the box on the short sides of the box. The panel elements are stacked in layers in the box with interposition of adhesive pads and at least the bottom of the box is occupied by a panel element coming exactly in the free rectangular shape inscribed.

The package according to the invention has the advantage of mutually blocking the different layers and the elements of each layer with respect to each other in the direction of the sliding of the elements of one layer with respect to the elements of the adjacent layer.

According to the invention, blocking in this direction which corresponds to the shearing of the elements for securing the layers relative to each other is particularly effective.

As the elements of the different layers are held in the direction perpendicular to the layers by the packaging, either by the box itself, or by the cover 2, the package formed has a slow resistance to shaking and shock from transport and different manipulations.

The invention allows a considerable saving both of polluting materials, generally non-recyclable, and of time for the installation of the elements in the packages. This also saves time when receiving and opening packages since the only consumable elements are the double-sided adhesive pads interposed between the elements of the different layers of the package.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the panel elements are superimposed and fixed in a symmetrical position relative to at least one of the axes (major axis XX or minor axis YY) of the rectangular shape inscribed free.

According to another advantageous characteristic, at least two panel elements of the same layer are positioned against a respective end wedge.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the adhesive pads are placed on the panel elements stacked in layers near the edge of the panel elements placed against the shims of the short sides.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the box is made of cardboard.

Thus, in this case, the packaging is particularly ecological and recyclable since all the elements that constitute it are made of cardboard and the double-sided tablets are also consumable.

Description of embodiments of the invention

According to FIG. 1, the subject of the invention is a package in the form of a rectangular box 1 receiving elements E of panels of dimensions which are not identical but which are in the basic form of the box 1.

The box 1 is generally made of cardboard, provided with a cover 2 which folds down around a hinge 21.

The panel elements Ei, Ei + 1 are held relative to each other in the volume of the box 1 by forming a balanced assembly along the major axis XX and the minor axis YY of the box 1.

Figure 1 shows only a partial loading of box 1.

The loading of a box 1 is composed of elements of panels Ei of generally rectangular shape and constituting for example the elements of a piece of furniture to be assembled. As it is mass production, the overall shape of the box 1 is adapted to the shape of the panel elements and more particularly to the rectangular shape of the largest panel element of the batch and the height is equal to the height of optimized stacking of panel elements.

These panel elements Ei generally, but not necessarily, have the same thickness. They are grouped in box 1 in layers grouping the elements of panels of the same thickness if the elements have several thicknesses.

Figure 2 is a top view of a box 1 of packages according to the invention with a rectangular bottom 11 of major axis XX and minor axis YY along the long sides 12 and the short sides 13. A large side 12 is connected to the cover 2 by a hinge 21 produced in the material of the box 1.

The cover 2 is bordered on its three free sides by a flap 22. These flaps 22 are shown deployed.

The short sides 13 are internally lined with a shim 3 made of plastic foam. This wedge 3 of rectangular section has the height of the box 1. This height corresponds to the height of the stack of layers of panel elements to be packaged.

To reduce the overall volume of the package, only the short sides 13 of the box 1 are fitted with shims 3 since these short sides 13 are the most stressed when the package is in the upright position, the pressure applying on a smaller surface than that applying on a long side 12.

The free surface of the box 1 is the free rectangular surface included between the sides of the box 1 inside the shims 3. This surface is called the free rectangular surface. In the case of the example shown with shims 3 only on the short sides, the free surface is that which remains between the long sides 12 and the shims 3 on the short sides 13.

The loading of the box 1 with the panel elements is done as shown schematically in FIGS. 3A3D, showing the distribution of the panel elements Ei of a package in a box 1.

The first step (FIG. 3A) consists in occupying the bottom of the box 1 with the largest panel element El according to which the box 1 has been dimensioned. The package generally consists of one or two larger items, all the other items being smaller. These other panel elements are, except in exceptional cases, generally rectangular in shape.

Thus, the large element El, put in place, forms the first layer C1. Above this first layer, the element or elements making up the second layer C2 are placed. These are two elements of panels E21, E22 which are generally part of the free rectangular surface. These elements E21, E22 are fixed to the panel El with sticky pads P. The elements E21, E22 are placed symmetrically with respect to the major axis XX and the minor axis YY; one of the sides of each element E21, E22 is in abutment against a wedge 3.

Then, according to FIG. 3B, an element E3 is placed whose dimensions smaller than those of the free rectangular surface are nevertheless large enough to not allow this panel to be combined with another element in this same third layer C3.

This element E3 is blocked from the elements E21, E22 above by sticky pads P.

The element E3 is placed in a symmetrical position with respect to the major axis XX and the minor axis YY so that it does not touch the shims 3, its length being assumed to be less than the length of the free rectangular face.

In the next layer C4 (FIG. 3), two elements E41, E42 are installed on the element E3 of the layer C3. These two elements E41, E42 are applied against the shims 3 and they are fixed to the element E3 by sticky pads P.

The next step, not shown, consists in installing the last panel element (E5), or even the second element the size of the free rectangular surface on the previously made stack. Then the package is closed by folding the cover 2.

Figure 3D is a schematic vertical section of the different layers C1-C5 of panel elements E1 ... E5 fixed to each other by sticky pads P and some of which are in contact with the wedges 3.

The sticky discs P are preferably self-adhesive double-sided to attach to the facing faces of two elements Ei su25 perposed.

In FIGS. 3A-3C, the pellets P are shown positioned as a function of the overlapping surface of two panel elements. It may however be more advantageous to fix the element each time from above only for pellets P situated near the edge of the element from above as it appears in FIG. 1, which makes it easier to take off this element by lifting its side opposite to that near which the pellets P.

Figure 4, in its parts 4A-4D, shows a top view of the succession of stacks thus produced with the panel elements covering each other and forming an integral assembly locked in abutment between the only two wedges 3 of the short sides 13.
