Description

The invention relates to a hybrid solar collector comprising a photovoltaic cell panel and a heat transfer fluid heat exchanger intended to be connected to a fluid circulation circuit. coolant for cooling the photovoltaic cells by said coolant. Numerous studies have shown that the efficiency of photovoltaic cells degrades significantly when these cells are brought to high temperatures. For example, it has been demonstrated that a photovoltaic cell produces about 0.5 ° / ° less power per degree above 25 ° C. According to this study, the power produced by a photovoltaic cell drops by about 20 ° / ° when the latter is raised to a temperature of 70 ° C. In view of these results, a great deal of research has been done to add solar cell cooling devices to the solar cell panels, and one solution has been to equip the solar collectors with heat transfer fluid heat exchangers. . This solution leads, in fact, not only to increase the effective performance of the photovoltaic part by cooling the cells, but also to produce thermal energy, by heating the coolant, gaseous or liquid, which can be used to various purposes such as: water heating, electricity generation, heat energy source for air-conditioning apparatus ... 25 However, despite the large number of studies conducted, which led to the filing of multiple patent applications, and despite, moreover, the current enthusiasm for solar energy, no solution proposed to date, to date, an actual exploitation and commercial success that foreshadowed the announced benefits of these techniques. The main reason for this lack of success is mainly due to the cost and complexity of hybrid solar collectors compared to conventional solar collectors, which are almost annihilating the extra performance achieved. The present invention aims to overcome this drawback and its main objective is to provide a hybrid solar collector of very simple design, leading to a very acceptable extra cost compared to the cost of a conventional solar collector. Another object of the invention is to enable the manufacture of hybrid solar collectors from conventional solar collectors with minor modifications thereof. For this purpose, the invention provides a hybrid solar collector comprising a photovoltaic cell panel and a heat transfer fluid heat exchanger intended to be connected to a heat transfer fluid circulation circuit for the cooling of the photovoltaic cells by the so-called heat transfer fluid and, according to the invention, the heat exchanger of this solar collector consists of two plates of a thermally conductive material, joined together: - a plate, called lower, deformed so as to be hollowed out of a network channels extending over most of the surface ls of said lower plate, between a heat transfer fluid supply connection and a discharge connection of said coolant, and a flat plate, said upper, sealingly the channels of the lower plate, fixed under the face of the panel of photovoltaic cells. The originality of the invention therefore lies in the simplicity of the proposed solution which consisted in associating, with the photovoltaic cell panel, a monobloc heat exchanger: of extremely simple design that can be produced according to widely tested techniques guaranteeing its reliability and its resistance to high pressures, optimally reduced space, because it forms, with respect to the solar panel, a simple extra thickness equivalent to the thickness of two plates, or in practice an extra thickness of the order of 3 to 4 mm. Because of its compactness and its positioning attached to the solar panel, such a heat exchanger can be mounted on a conventional solar collector current without major modification of the latter, leading, in terms of additional cost, the extra cost generated by supply and installation of said heat exchanger.

It should also be noted that in terms of performance, the heat transfer is high because this transfer takes place by conduction: the channels carrying the coolant are, in fact, in particular delimited by a flat wall in direct contact with photovoltaic cells.

However, in order to perfect the performance and advantageously according to the invention, a plate of thermally insulating material is contiguous to the lower plate of the heat exchanger, in order to isolate the latter from the outside. For the same purpose, and in order to perfect the contact between the upper plate of the heat exchanger and the photovoltaic cell panel, this upper plate is advantageously secured by gluing to said panel of photovoltaic cells. In addition, because of the design of the channels obtained by deformation and therefore of a relatively small section, for example advantageously of the order of tenths of a cm 2, the thickness of fluid flowing in these channels is itself low, leading to a rapid rise in temperature of this fluid and, therefore, a very low inertia of the heat exchanger. With regard to the manufacture of the heat exchanger, according to an advantageous manufacturing technique, the two plates of the heat exchanger are welded together by rolling, with the exception of the zones of the upper plate corresponding to the imprint of the heat exchangers. heat transfer fluid channels, said channels being made by deformation of the lower plate by inflation under pressure. Furthermore, the two plates of the heat exchanger advantageously have plane dimensions conjugate to those of the photovoltaic cell panel. Such a photovoltaic cell panel / heat exchanger assembly according to the invention may advantageously be integrated in a box delimiting, with the lower plate of the heat exchanger, a volume filled with the plate of thermally insulating material. In addition, this box advantageously comprises a frame having the shape of a bracket with a prolonged core of a fin orthogonal to the said core, front end of the photovoltaic cell panel.

Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the detailed description which follows with reference to the accompanying drawings which represent by way of non-limiting example a preferred embodiment. In these drawings: FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a hybrid solar collector according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a partial cross section, on an enlarged scale, of this solar collector; and FIG. a top view of the bottom plate of a heat exchanger according to the invention, shown integrated in a box according to the invention. The solar collector according to the invention represented by way of example in the figures consists of a hybrid solar collector comprising a panel of photovoltaic cells 1 of conventional type, and a heat exchanger 9 with heat transfer fluid intended to be connected to a circuit of circulation of coolant for the cooling of the photovoltaic cells by said coolant. This photovoltaic cell panel 1 is conventionally equipped with an electrical box 2 positioned in contact with its rear face, and in the usual way, is integrated in a box 3 comprising a frame having the shape of a bracket with a core 4 extended, on the one hand, a wing 5 delimiting the bottom of said box, and secondly, a fin 6 of the front stop of the photovoltaic cell panel 1. In addition, two electrical connectors 7, 8 connected to the electrical box 2 are accessible on one of the transverse sides of the frame 3. The heat exchanger 9 of the solar collector is, for its part, composed, according to the invention, of two metal plates 11, 12 secured between they, substantially of the same dimensions as the panel 30 of photovoltaic cells 1, and having a notch 10 facing the electrical box 2. The first of these plates 11, said upper plate, consists of a flat plate secured by gluing to the panel of photovoltaic cells 1.

The second of these plates 12, called the lower plate, is, for its part, deformed so as to be hollowed out of a network of channels 15 extending over most of the surface of said lower plate, between a connector 18 of supply of heat transfer fluid and a connection 19 of said heat transfer fluid, accessible on one of the transverse sides of the frame 3. As shown in Figure 2, during the formation of each channel 15, the lower plate 12 has generally trapezoidal corrugations alternately forming a base 13 for securing by welding the two plates 11 and 12, and a base 14 delimiting a channel 15. lo A technique for manufacturing this heat exchanger 9 may consist of: - welding the two plates 11, 12 between them by rolling, with the exception of the areas of the upper plate 11 corresponding to the footprint of the channels 15, coated, for this purpose, with a product capable of preventing the welding, - and to realize the channels by deformation of the lower plate 12 by inflation under pressure. By way of example and as represented in FIG. 3, the channel network 15 may consist of an array comprising two longitudinal lateral branches 16, 17 each extending from one of the connectors 18, 19, connected by transverse branches such as 20, some of these latter being themselves connected by longitudinal branch sections such as 21. This arrangement and distribution of the channels 15 is intended, in the usual way, to produce a network of channels 15 in which which the heat transfer fluid circulates with a substantially constant pressure. Finally, once photovoltaic cell panel 1 heat exchanger 9 integrated in the box 3, the free volume of the latter is filled with an insulating material adapted to thermally isolate the heat exchanger 9 relative to the outside. This hybrid solar collector can be produced at low cost by integration into a conventional solar collector of a heat exchanger 9 according to the invention and filling the free volume of the chamber of this collector with a thermally insulating material 22.
