Despite these constraints, the drivers of such vehicles require greater autonomy without harming the dimensions of the trunk and the passenger compartment to ensure the maintenance of passenger and cargo transport functions of such a vehicle.

Hybrid vehicles with increased autonomy have already been developed, as illustrated in particular in US Patent 6,435,293 describing a hybrid golf cart. However, the design of the vehicle requires here to give up the presence of a trunk used for storing luggage. Moreover, the dimensioning of the elements for the desired power would result in overweight no longer meeting the regulatory constraints of electric vehicles as described above.
