PROCEDE DE REGLAGE DU DEBIT D'INJECTION DE CARBURANT D'UN MOTEUR DIESEL [0001 La présente invention concerne un procédé de réglage du débit d'injection de gazole dans le cylindre d'un moteur diesel dans des conditions d'environnements particulières. [0002] Les polluants issus de la combustion d'un moteur de véhicule automobile, que celui-ci soit un moteur diesel ou essence, sont majoritairement des hydrocarbures imbrûlés (HC), des oxydes d'azote (NOx), des oxydes de carbone (CO, CO2) et dans le cas particulier des moteurs diesel, des particules solides carbonées. [0003] Afin de respecter les normes environnementales internationales, la maîtrise des émissions de HC, de CO/CO2, de NOx et des particules est impérative et doit être respectée de plus en plus sévèrement. Par ailleurs, la règlementation, notamment européenne, tend à limiter la quantité de carburant injectée dans les chambres de combustion dans des conditions habituelles de conduite. [0004 Dans ce but, on a fait appel à des dispositifs de régulation électronique (par exemple à l'aide de calculateurs numériques à programme enregistrés) pour piloter les systèmes d'injection, ce qui a permis de stabiliser et d'affiner les réglages de base, tant au niveau de l'instant de l'injection que du débit de combustible. Ces dispositifs permettent de maîtriser les quantités injectées de carburant qui participent à la combustion de sorte que l'on injecte une quantité exacte correspondant au besoin de couple. [0005] Ainsi, le fonctionnement de chaque injecteur est piloté par une unité électronique, tel qu'un calculateur, qui commande la quantité de carburant injectée par cet injecteur dans la chambre de combustion du cylindre. Pour ce faire, l'unité électronique reçoit des informations telles qu'un couple requis par le conducteur du véhicule et commande en conséquence une durée d'ouverture ou d'activation de l'injecteur, telle que ce dernier injecte dans la chambre du cylindre la quantité de carburant nécessaire à l'obtention du couple requis par le conducteur. [0006] On comprend que la précision et la robustesse des injections soient primordiales, que ce soit à court terme (moteur neuf) ou sur une période longue. Or, la dérive des injecteurs (due en particulier à leur vieillissement, leur encrassement, etc...) ne permet pas de garantir des réglages optimaux prédéfinis durant toute la vie du moteur. Il est donc nécessaire de disposer d'un moyen de contrôle de l'injection (quantité, avance, séparation ...) et de correction des dérives, de façon à rattraper tout écart et retrouver un fonctionnement correct, voire optimum. [0007] Ces écarts sont d'autant plus gênants que la pression du carburant est élevée car lorsque cette pression augmente, les écarts en quantités de carburant injectées entre un injecteur ayant déjà fonctionné un certain temps et un injecteur modélisé croissent généralement. [0008] Ces écarts provoquent une baisse des performances (couple, puissance), une augmentation du bruit de combustion et/ou une augmentation des émissions polluantes du moteur, en particulier en oxydes d'azote. [0009] Pour corriger les dérives des injecteurs, on connaît un procédé auto-adaptatif basé sur l'analyse du comportement du moteur lors de petites injections dans des conditions de fonctionnement particulières, à savoir lorsque le moteur est chaud (après un certain temps de fonctionnement) et en phase de décélération (le conducteur n'exerce plus de pression sur la pédale d'accélérateur). Ce procédé auto- adaptatif est classiquement disponible dans les calculateurs de contrôle moteur. Ce procédé est plus particulièrement basé sur l'analyse du régime et de l'accélération angulaire du moteur obtenus en réponse aux injections de ces petites quantités de carburant. [0010 Le problème vient du fait que le procédé de contrôle de l'injection de carburant, pour son éventuelle correction, nécessite que les conditions thermiques dans la chambre de combustion soient suffisantes pour permettre la combustion de ces petites quantités de carburant injectées lors du test de contrôle. Or, dans certaines conditions, notamment dans des conditions froides de température de l'air et/ou de température du liquide de refroidissement ainsi qu'en présence d'une pression atmosphérique ambiante faible (haute altitude), les conditions dans la chambre de combustion ne permettent pas de brûler ce carburant. [0011] La présente invention entend remédier à ce problème en proposant de vérifier des conditions d'environnements afin de déterminer si le test de contrôle de l'injection de carburant est possible et s'il est déterminé que ce test n'est pas possible au regard de ces conditions d'environnement, à commander un chauffage de la chambre de combustion à l'aide d'au moins un élément du bloc moteur pour rendre ledit test possible. [0012] Selon l'invention, il est ainsi proposé un procédé de réglage du débit d'injection de carburant d'un moteur diesel de véhicule, comprenant une opération d'analyse et de correction du débit d'injection par un calculateur comportant une étape d'injection de petites quantités de carburant dans la chambre de combustion, caractérisé en ce que, préalablement à l'opération de correction du débit : - on détermine la température du liquide de refroidissement Teau circulant dans le moteur et la température de l'air d'admission Tair, - on compare la température du liquide de refroidissement Teau circulant dans le moteur à une température de seuil du liquide de refroidissement Teau seuil et la température de l'air d'admission Tair à une température de seuil de l'air d'admission Tair seuil, et - si l'une des températures Teau ou Tair est inférieure à sa température de seuil respective Teau seuil ou Tair seuil, on augmente la température dans la chambre de combustion jusqu'à ce que les conditions thermiques dans ladite chambre autorisent la combustion des petites quantités de carburant injectées. [0013] A la suite des petites injections de carburant, le calculateur analyse les données concernant le régime et l'accélération angulaire du moteur de manière à corriger, s'il y a lieu, le débit d'injection de carburant au regard de la comparaison entre les susdites données avec celles d'une injection modélisée souhaitée. [0014] On entend par l'expression « injection modélisée souhaitée » une injection, ou un débit d'injection de carburant, définie conforme par le constructeur au regard des spécificités du moteur ainsi que des réglementations en matière d'injection (consommation de carburant). [0015] Avantageusement, on vérifie également la pression atmosphérique ambiante Pamb. et on augmente la température de seuil du liquide de refroidissement Teau seuil et la température de seuil de l'air d'admission Tair seuil d'au moins 10°c si la pression atmosphérique ambiante Pamb. est inférieure à une pression atmosphérique ambiante de seuil Pamb. seuil. [0016] Avantageusement, l'augmentation de la température dans la chambre de combustion dure au moins 0,5 seconde, de préférence au moins 1 seconde. [0017] Selon un mode d'exécution de l'invention, l'augmentation de la température dans la chambre de combustion est réalisée à l'aide d'au moins une des bougies de préchauffage présente dans ladite chambre. [0018] Selon un autre mode d'exécution, l'augmentation de la température dans la chambre de combustion est réalisée à l'aide d'une résistance électrique, tel qu'au moins une bougie de préchauffage, présente dans la ligne d'admission d'air de manière à augmenter premièrement la température des gaz d'admission. [0019] Selon encore un autre mode d'exécution de l'invention, l'augmentation de la température est réalisée en ouvrant le conduit de dérivation du refroidisseur d'air de suralimentation de sorte que l'air d'admission n'est pas refroidie. [0020] Selon d'autres caractéristiques avantageuses de l'invention : - la température de seuil de l'air d'admission Tair seuil est supérieure ou égale à -5°c, de préférence supérieure ou égale à 0 °c ; The present invention relates to a method for controlling the diesel fuel injection rate in the cylinder of a diesel engine under particular environmental conditions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The pollutants resulting from the combustion of a motor vehicle engine, whether it is a diesel engine or gasoline, are predominantly unburned hydrocarbons (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon oxides (CO, CO2) and in the particular case of diesel engines, carbonaceous solid particles. In order to comply with international environmental standards, the control of HC, CO / CO2, NOx and particulate emissions is imperative and must be respected more and more severely. In addition, the regulation, in particular European, tends to limit the amount of fuel injected into the combustion chambers under usual driving conditions. [0004] To this end, electronic control devices (for example using registered program digital computers) were used to control the injection systems, which made it possible to stabilize and refine the settings. basic, both at the time of the injection and the fuel flow. These devices make it possible to control the injected quantities of fuel that participate in the combustion so that an exact quantity corresponding to the need for torque is injected. Thus, the operation of each injector is controlled by an electronic unit, such as a computer, which controls the amount of fuel injected by the injector into the combustion chamber of the cylinder. To do this, the electronic unit receives information such as a torque required by the driver of the vehicle and therefore controls a duration of opening or activation of the injector, as the latter injects into the cylinder chamber the amount of fuel required to obtain the torque required by the driver. It is understood that the accuracy and robustness of the injections are paramount, whether in the short term (new engine) or over a long period. However, the drift of the injectors (due in particular to their aging, fouling, etc ...) does not guarantee optimal predefined settings throughout the life of the engine. It is therefore necessary to have a means of controlling the injection (quantity, advance, separation, etc.) and correction of the drifts, so as to make up any deviation and find a correct operation, or even optimum. These discrepancies are even more troublesome than the fuel pressure is high because when this pressure increases, the differences in fuel quantities injected between an injector having already worked for some time and a modeled injector generally grow. These differences cause a drop in performance (torque, power), an increase in combustion noise and / or an increase in pollutant emissions of the engine, in particular nitrogen oxides. To correct the drifts of the injectors, there is known a self-adaptive method based on the analysis of the behavior of the engine during small injections in particular operating conditions, namely when the engine is hot (after a certain time of in the deceleration phase (the driver no longer exerts pressure on the accelerator pedal). This self-adaptive method is conventionally available in engine control computers. This method is more particularly based on the analysis of the speed and the angular acceleration of the engine obtained in response to the injections of these small quantities of fuel. [0010] The problem stems from the fact that the fuel injection control method, for its possible correction, requires that the thermal conditions in the combustion chamber are sufficient to allow the combustion of these small quantities of fuel injected during the test. control. However, under certain conditions, especially in cold conditions of air temperature and / or coolant temperature and in the presence of a low ambient atmospheric pressure (high altitude), the conditions in the combustion chamber do not burn this fuel. The present invention intends to remedy this problem by proposing to check environmental conditions to determine if the fuel injection control test is possible and if it is determined that this test is not possible. in view of these environmental conditions, to control a heating of the combustion chamber using at least one element of the engine block to make said test possible. According to the invention, it is thus proposed a method of adjusting the fuel injection rate of a vehicle diesel engine, comprising an analysis operation and correction of the injection rate by a computer having a step of injecting small quantities of fuel into the combustion chamber, characterized in that, prior to the flow correction operation: - the temperature of the coolant water circulating in the engine and the temperature of the engine are determined; intake air Tair, - the temperature of the coolant water circulating in the engine is compared to a threshold temperature of the coolant threshold water and the temperature of the intake air Tair to a threshold temperature of the intake air Tair threshold, and - if one of the water or air temperatures is lower than its respective threshold temperature threshold or threshold air, the temperature in the combustion chamber is increased until the thermal conditions in said chamber allow the combustion of the small quantities of fuel injected. Following small fuel injections, the computer analyzes the data on the speed and the angular acceleration of the engine so as to correct, if necessary, the fuel injection rate with respect to the comparing the above data with those of a desired modeled injection. The expression "desired modeled injection" is understood to mean an injection, or a fuel injection rate, defined by the manufacturer with regard to the specific features of the engine as well as the regulations relating to injection (fuel consumption). ). [0015] Advantageously, the ambient atmospheric pressure Pamb is also verified. and increasing the threshold temperature of the coolant threshold water and the threshold temperature of the intake air Tair threshold of at least 10 ° c if the ambient atmospheric pressure Pamb. is below a threshold atmospheric pressure Pamb. threshold. Advantageously, the increase in the temperature in the combustion chamber lasts at least 0.5 seconds, preferably at least 1 second. According to one embodiment of the invention, the increase of the temperature in the combustion chamber is carried out using at least one of the preheating candles present in said chamber. According to another embodiment, the increase of the temperature in the combustion chamber is carried out using an electrical resistance, such as at least one glow plug, present in the line of FIG. air intake so as to increase the temperature of the intake gases first. According to yet another embodiment of the invention, the increase in temperature is achieved by opening the bypass duct of the charge air cooler so that the intake air is not cooled. According to other advantageous features of the invention: the threshold temperature of the intake air Tair threshold is greater than or equal to -5 ° C, preferably greater than or equal to 0 ° C;
The threshold temperature of the coolant threshold water is greater than or equal to 50 ° C, preferably greater than or equal to 70 ° C; - the threshold atmospheric pressure Pamb. threshold is greater than or equal to 920 mbar (millibars); the fuel injection is of the direct injection type and the diesel engine of the common rail type. Other details and advantageous features of the invention appear from the detailed description given below by way of non-limiting example with the aid of the attached figures in which: - Figure 1 shows a simplified diagram of a diesel engine equipped with a common rail; - Figure 2 shows a simplified diagram of a charge air intake line in which are apparent the heating solutions of the combustion chamber according to the invention. To illustrate the present invention, it has been chosen to represent a diesel engine common rail direct injection type. This embodiment is shown schematically in Figure 1 but it is understood that the invention relates to all types of diesel engine provided it is equipped with a control system and correction of fuel injection rate . In recent diesel engine technology, direct injection has imposed itself for its performance superior to that of engines with indirect injection. It allows less consumption and pollution. In a common rail diesel engine 10, each cylinder 12, 14, 16 and 18 comprises a combustion chamber 1312, 1314, 1316 or 1318 in which a fuel is injected by means of an injector 2012, 2014 2016 or 2018 connected to the common rail 22. In the latter, the fuel is maintained at high pressure by a pump 24 connected, via a conduit 26, to the reservoir (not shown) of the vehicle, thus making it possible to carry out fuel injections in each cylinder at high pressures, generally between 200 and 1600 bar. The operation of each injector 20i is controlled by a unit 28 which controls the amount of fuel injected by the injector into the chamber 13i. For this purpose, this unit 28 receives information such as the torque C required by the driver of the vehicle or the pressure P of the fuel in the common rail, and consequently controls a duration of opening or activation of the injector 20i such as that the latter injects into the chamber 13i the amount of fuel required to obtain the torque required by the driver. This activation time is determined according to the amount of fuel to be injected into the chambers and the fuel pressure in the common rail. The duration of activation also depends on the characteristics of the injector, that is why it is predetermined by the manufacturer, for example empirically. However, it is known that the operation of an injector equipping a vehicle has deviations from the predetermined operation. Indeed, the predetermination is carried out by means of a modeled injector not taking into account neither the tolerances accepted during the machining of the injectors, nor especially the wear of the latter. Experience shows that, for a real injector used, the minimum activation time drift compared to its initial value, either downward or upward. A similar remark is necessary regarding the drifts of the operating slope value of the injector compared to that of a modeled injector. These differences have inconvenient disadvantages for the operation of the engine. Indeed, when an injector operates with an offset of the activation time and / or with a modified operating slope, the activation times controlled by the computer cause the injection of a quantity of fuel in the chambers. of combustion distinct from the predetermined optimum amount, substantially less fuel quantity than the expected amount. The differences are even more troublesome than the fuel pressure is high, because when this pressure increases, there are discrepancies, in one direction or another, between the amount of fuel injected by an injector having already operated over a period of time compared to the theoretical fuel injected by a modeled injector. As noted above, these differences are detrimental to engine performance, combustion noise and pollutant emissions. Thus, it is absolutely necessary to provide a fuel flow control system for determining, throughout the life of the vehicle, whether to correct the flow, and make the correction if necessary. . As has been seen previously, such control and correction systems are known and consist of the analysis of data relating in particular to the speed and the angular acceleration of this engine when the latter is hot, or after a certain amount of time. operating / rolling in particular conditions. The present invention is part of the observation that the control phases are performed during a deceleration phase by the injection of small amounts of fuel and that it is possible, under certain environmental conditions, that they do not burn in the combustion chamber. By the term "small amounts of fuel" is meant an amount of 0.3 to 2.5 mg / stroke (milligram per opening of the injector), preferably 0.8 to 2 mg / stroke; these quantities being considered for an injector operating for a combustion chamber. The fact that the control phases are provided in the deceleration phase (no torque requested) has the consequence that the combustion chamber cools quickly, the faster the outside temperature is low (direct impact on the temperature intake and indirect coolant temperature when the latter exchanges heat with air). It should also be noted that the coolant reaches a high temperature after a certain rolling time, this rolling time being all the more important that the outside temperature is low. If we add to a low outside temperature, a low ambient atmospheric pressure (lesser amount of air, and therefore of oxygen, per unit of volume), for example because of a situation of the vehicle at high altitude, and taking into account since control injections consist of small amounts of fuel, there is a very significant risk that the fuel can not be burned in the combustion chamber. At present, there are sensors for determining the temperature of the intake air, that of the coolant circulating in the engine and the ambient atmospheric pressure. The invention proposes to use this information to control, if necessary according to the records relating to these temperatures / pressure, the heating of the combustion chamber before the control of the injected fuel flow so as to restore thermal conditions to burn the fuel. After experiments, it was determined that a temperature of the intake air of less than -5 ° C (degree Celsius), that is to say about 268 ° K (Kelvin degree), or that a temperature of coolant lower than 50 ° C, about 323 ° K, are boundary environmental conditions that do not allow small fuel injections of the injection flow control test to be burned in the combustion chamber . These temperatures of -5 ° C and 50 ° C, respectively for the temperature of the intake air and that of the coolant circulating in the engine, are currently defined as the extreme / limit threshold temperatures Tair threshold, threshold water for these two elements / critical parameters relative to the thermal conditions in the combustion chamber. Thus, more generally, it will be considered that the threshold temperature of the intake air Tairseuil is equal to 0 ° c (or more), or 273 ° K, and that the threshold temperature of the liquid of Cooling water threshold is equal to 70 ° c (or higher), or 343 ° K. Another important factor lies in the ambient atmospheric pressure. If it is too low, resulting in less air / oxygen per unit volume, fuel combustion will also be more difficult. Thus, the determination of the ambient pressure will possibly have an impact on the threshold threshold and threshold water temperatures, the latter being raised / increased by at least 10 ° C. if the ambient pressure Pamb. is determined lower than a threshold ambient pressure Pamb. threshold. From experiments, it was agreed to consider that the threshold ambient atmospheric pressure should be substantially equal to 920 mbar (millibars), which corresponds substantially to the average atmospheric pressure at 1000 meters altitude. Of course, if the atmospheric pressure Pamb. As measured by sensor is much lower than this threshold pressure, threshold temperatures threshold, threshold water must be raised / increased by more than 10 ° C, ideally proportionally. Figure 2 illustrates the set of solutions envisaged in the context of the invention to achieve the heating of the combustion chamber 20i, if necessary, before starting the fuel injection rate control. The intake air line shown in this figure has the elements conventionally present, namely an air filter 80, a flow meter 70, a compressor 60 for compressing the intake air (which increases its temperature), a branch in which there is the charge air cooler (RAS) 50 for the purpose of cooling the compressed air and a branch constituting the bypass duct 51 of the RAS (the gases flowing in this branch bypasses the RAS) as well as the positioning sensors of the valves 52, 53 for closing one or the other of these branches and their management by a computer, not shown in the accompanying figures. A preferred solution for heating the combustion chamber 13i is to use the glow plugs 30i of the combustion chamber 13i of the engine. This solution has the advantage of using a means still present in a diesel vehicle and the glow plugs 30i (at least one) are particularly effective for very rapidly increasing the temperature in the combustion chamber 13i. Another solution of the invention is to have an electrical resistance 40, such as at least one glow plug, in the circuit of the air intake line to increase the temperature of the inlet gas. A third solution is to use the charge air cooler 50, and more particularly the branch duct 51 of the latter when provided. In order to increase the density of the intake air of a turbocharged engine, it is known to cool the supercharging air leaving the compressor 60 by means of a heat exchanger which is called a cooler. supercharging air or RAS abbreviated. A SAR circuit conventionally comprises a first branch, said cooling branch, and a second branch, called bypass or bypass. The cooling branch comprises a RAS 50 and the second branch 51 consists of a bypass duct of the cooler 50, the bypass duct 51 allowing the supercharging air to avoid passing through the cooler 50 and therefore to be cooled. Thus, one of the solutions of the invention thus consists in closing the operating branch of the RAS 50, and open that of the bypass duct 51, just before the control phases for the registration of the fuel injectors 20i to avoid the temperature drop of the intake air during the deceleration phases. Of course, even if it is intended to use only one solution to increase the temperature in the combustion chamber 20i, namely the glow plugs 30i of the combustion chamber 13i, the electrical resistance 40 in the charge air intake line or the opening of the branch pipe 51 of the RAS 50, it is however possible to combine two of these solutions, or all of them at the same time. It is also possible to have two or three of these heating solutions and to determine, depending on the inlet air temperatures, which of the coolant or the measured ambient pressure, which one or more of these solutions are the best adapted and preferably order such a particular heating solution of the combustion chamber 13i. The heating of the combustion chamber 13i is performed before the control of the injection flow rate and for a time necessary for the thermal conditions in the combustion chamber 13i are again compatible with the consumption of small amounts of injected fuel. Experimentally, it has been determined that this time should be at least 0.5 seconds, and preferably at least 1 second. Of course, this heating time depends on the chosen solution, the glow plug (s) 30i, the electrical resistance 40 or the bypass duct 51 of the RAS 50. A NMVEG cycle ("New Motor Vehicle Exhausted") Gas ") is a standardized driving cycle for measuring emissions and consumption of vehicles marketed in Europe. At present, this cycle is carried out under conditions of standard temperature and pressure, that is to say for an ambient temperature and pressure of 20 ° C. and 1 bar, respectively. However, with a view to tightening the regulatory constraints on pollutant emissions and fuel injection, it is envisaged to carry out this cycle with a much lower temperature, of the order of -7 ° C. With the method of the invention and its prior heating of the combustion chamber if the temperature conditions require, it will always be possible to perform this NMVEG cycle without difficulty. In addition to the NMVEG cycle, the invention makes it possible, whatever the external temperature conditions in particular, to control the fuel injection rate and correct this flow if necessary and above all to better control the quantities injected into the fuel. the objective of reducing vehicle-to-vehicle dispersion of pollutant emissions, consumptions and / or noise emitted by the engine.
