Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method of recycling and recovery of household waste for their transformation into compost. For reasons related to the preservation of the environment, more and more people have become accustomed to making their own compost from organic and mineral waste. This is a process of maturation of the waste in the presence of water and under the action of various micro-organisms which leads to the obtaining of a product of dark color and pleasant odor of a nature to reinforce stock humus in the soil and thus improve its fertility. Waste composting is currently encouraged by the Authorities in that in addition to the production of a quality amendment, it reduces to a large extent the amount of household waste to be transported by the community and then treated or disposed of. in discharge. For the composting of waste, trays are usually used, usually cylindrical or trapezoidal, which are located outside homes. Such containers generally have a capacity of the order of 300 liters aerobic and 20/44 liters for those of the trade with a worm system or anaerobic. Such bins are equipped with a grid and a hinged lid, as well as where appropriate ventilation, mixing and grinding the waste that is introduced therein. A hatch located at the lower part of the tank makes it possible to recover the compost after maturation with a view to its use for the amendment of cultivable surfaces. The time required to obtain a mature compost, so usable is relatively long, generally of the order of at least six months. In this context, the present invention aims to provide a method for recycling and recovery of household waste, organic or inorganic that can be implemented inside a home and to obtain very quickly and in aerobic mature compound, in a clean way and without giving off unpleasant odors. The preliminary step of the process according to the invention consists in equipping a collector of motorized mixing organs.
The first step of this process is then to introduce a mixture of nitrogenous waste or green waste and carbonaceous waste or brown waste in this collector. In this first step, it is essential to control the nitrogen / carbon ratio, ie the ratio of green waste to brown waste, which largely influences the specific characteristics of the compost finally obtained. It is known that the choice of waste used can change the nature of the fertilizers contained in the final compost. The second step of the process according to the invention consists in actuating the motorized mixing devices and in grinding and kneading the waste introduced therein so as to fractionate them and to favor and accelerate their transformation into compost. This step is essential to accelerate the compost formation and to obtain a satisfactory final product. The mixing devices can then be disconnected and the collector closed by means of a cover. The next step of the process according to the invention is to leave the fractionated waste at rest in the composting chamber thus delimited at the inner part of the collector for at least about one month to allow their transformation into compost by aerobic ripening. At the end of this maturation, the lid can be removed and the compost obtained can be upgraded, in particular introduced into a green bin for such recovery. However, it is advantageous in accordance with the invention to use the collector filled with compost to allow the development of plants, especially green plants inside a home. It should be noted that after maturation, the volume of waste is generally reduced by about 50% compared to their initial volume. According to another characteristic of the invention, the collector is equipped with ventilation and waste ventilation means during the maturation phase. These means of ventilation and ventilation can be any-conques without departing from the scope of the invention, and in particular be constituted by the material constituting the waste collector for example
3 ple a plastic material or a porous ceramic, or by a filter system fitted to the lid thereof. To obtain sufficient ventilation of the waste during the maturation of the compost, it is useful, in accordance with another characteristic of the invention, to regularly reconnect the mixing members. The process according to the invention is thus distinguished by the use of a single collection container for the collection of waste, the maturation of the compost and the introduction of it into a green bin especially thanks to a handle facilitating transport or particularly advantageous reuse in situ for the development of plants, especially green plants, this of course after disassembly of the mixing organs. The present invention also relates to a device adapted to the implementation of the aforementioned method.
Such a device is characterized in that it comprises a neck-reader of organic and inorganic household waste, removable mixing organs and a removable cover. The waste collector is constituted by an annular cup equipped with a tubular nozzle at its median part and may advantageously be made of a porous material such as a porous ceramic or a porous plastic material. This cup preferably has a rounded shape on the sides conferring a particularly attractive aesthetic for users promoting its use indoors for the development of green plants. Such a cup usually has a capacity of 0.5 and 5 liters adaptable to the habitat. According to the invention, the removable mixing members are advantageously constituted on the one hand by a motor block forming a support for the waste collector and whose output shaft can be introduced to the inner part of the tubular tip, and secondly by a rotary tool equipped with a grinding blade and kneading. This rotary tool is capable of being fitted around the end of the tubular end as well as being connected to the output shaft of the engine block. It should be noted that the engine block can also be coupled by the top of the cup without departing from the scope of the invention.
The grinding and kneading blade has a configuration allowing complete grinding and without stuffing the waste introduced into the annular cup as well as ventilation by mixing the compost during its processing during the ripening phase.
It is thus possible to obtain an optimum reduction in the volume of fresh waste and a significant improvement in composting in terms of time and appearance. The grinding and kneading blade must of course be made of a material resistant to the aggressive and corrosive environment of the waste. According to the invention, the motor unit can be supplied with electric current by any means such as mains, batteries, solar panels, etc. It can advantageously be actuated by pushbuttons and be provided with a control system. security automatically controlling its cutoff when placing the lid on the annular cup. It should be noted that in the context of this description, the term cup has to be interpreted in a very broad sense and may also designate a receptacle in the form of a pot or hopper. According to another particularly advantageous feature of the invention, the lid can be equipped with removable filters allowing two-way air filtration and a significant reduction of the olfactory nuisances associated with the manufacture of the compost during the cooling phase. ripening and limiting the development of pathogenic microorganisms. The device according to the invention thus constitutes a household robot particularly simple to use and attractive enough for consumers to induce them to compost their household waste. According to another characteristic of the invention, the device comprises a grid capable of being introduced into the lower part of the waste collector so as to enable the compost during maturation to be separated from the water that can be collected at the bottom of this manifold. This is in fact a removable double bottom system serving as a water reservoir using the principle of capillarity. This system makes it possible to separate the compost from the possible substrate and to act as a water reserve when using the cup for the development of plants. The transfer of water to the compost may, where appropriate, be facilitated by the presence of strands of a geotextile or similar means that can in particular be fixed on the grid. The device according to the invention may further advantageously comprise a central cap forming a vase that can be fitted at the end of the tubular endpiece.
Such a cap contributes to improving the aesthetic appearance of the device according to the invention. It should be noted that a user can advantageously superimpose several collectors, namely an upper collector acting as a pot for plants and several lower collectors containing compost during maturation. The characteristics of the device as well as the method which is the subject of the invention will be described in more detail with reference to the attached nonlimiting drawing which is a schematic section of such a device.
A removable grid 6 is mounted at the bottom of the cup 1. The mixing members 3 consist of a motor unit 7 as well as a rotary tool 8.
The engine block 7 serves as a support for the annular cup 1 and is equipped with an output shaft 9 to be introduced to the inner portion of the tubular nozzle 5 at the bottom of this nozzle in the use position.
