The present invention relates to a device for fixing a bicycle seat post. Generally, a seat post is fixed on a seat tube belonging to the frame of the bicycle via a fastening device.

As illustrated in FIG. 1, a fixing device 10 of the prior art comprises a split seat tube 12, the slot extending to the upper end of said seat tube 12. The seat post 14 is then inserted into the seat tube 12 whose dimensions are adapted to allow said seat post to slide.

The sliding of the seat post 14 in the seat tube 12 before attachment is necessary to allow the practitioner to easily adjust the height of the saddle 16 relative to the frame C. To perform the blocking of the seat post 14 at a given position in the seat tube 12, a fastener 10 of the prior art comprises radial clamping means 18. These radial clamping means 18 enclose the seat tube 12 at the slot and they will compress the seat post 14 in the seat tube 12 when tightened by the practitioner.
