It is also directed to a microwave steam cooking method and an apparatus and method for steam sterilization. The system of pressure cookers is known which makes it possible to reduce the cooking time of the food by creating an overpressure of the order of 1.6 bar and therefore a water vaporization temperature of greater than 100 ° C. (approximately 115 ° C.). This phenomenon allows cooking food 3 to 5 times faster, compared to traditional cooking processes, so a better preservation of vitamins and minerals contained in food.
