-1- RAQUETTE, EN PARTICULIER RAQUETTE DE PADDLEBALL ABSORBANT LES CHOCS La-1- RACKET, IN PARTICULAR PADDLEBALL ROCKET ABSORBING SHOCKS
The present invention relates to a racket, and more particularly to a paddleball, which absorbs shocks from the impact of a ball when the ball is struck.
Sports rackets are used in ball games, such as tennis, squash and paddleball, to hit a ball. A classic paddleball racket has a head and a handle. The head includes a frame, a strike plate and a plurality of through holes. The striking plate is mounted on the frame and has several layers laminated on top of each other. Through holes are defined through the layers. The handle is mounted on the head. However, the layers are made of hard material so that a shock from the impact of a paddleball ball is transmitted and hurts the hand of the paddleball player when the hitting plate strikes the paddleball ball. To overcome the disadvantages, the present invention provides a shock absorbing racket to reduce or eliminate the problems mentioned above. According to a first variant, a single second shock-absorbing layer is laminated between two first shock-absorbing layers. According to a second variant, two second shock-absorbing layers are respectively mounted between two adjacent layers of the first three shock-absorbing layers in an alternating arrangement. According to a third variant, three shock absorbing layers are mounted together and are mounted between two first shock-absorbing layers. The foam material may be made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyether urethane (PU). The frame can be made of carbon fiber, fiberglass or polyethylene (PE). According to a characteristic of the racket according to the present invention, the frame further has an outer rim; two connecting bars formed and extending from the outer border of the frame, each connecting bar having a distal end and the distal ends of the connecting bars connecting together; and a through hole defined through the frame between the connecting bars; and the handle is mounted on the distal end of the connecting bars on the frame. The frame 10 is hollow, it is made of carbon fiber, fiberglass or polyethylene (PE) and has an outer rim, an inner chamber, two opposite striking surface plates 15, two connecting bars 11 and a through-hole 13. The inner chamber is defined in the frame 10. The striking surface plates 15 are formed on the frame 10, and the inner chamber is defined between the striking surface plates 15. The connecting bars 11 are formed on and extend from the outer border of the frame 10 and each connecting bar 11 has a distal end. The distal ends of the connecting bars 11 are connected to each other. The through hole 13 is defined through the frame 13 between the connecting bars 11. Referring again to FIGS. 2 to 4, it can be seen that the assembly 20 of the shock absorbing layers is mounted in the chamber in the frame 10 and has several first shock-absorbing layers (21, 21A, 21B) and at least one second shock-absorbing layer (22, 22A, 22B). The first and second shock absorbing layers (21, 21A, 21B, 22, 22A, 22B) are made of foamed material, such as polyvinyl ethyleneacetate (EVA), polyvinyl chloride ) (PVC) 2908051 -5 or polyether urethane (PU). The first and second shock absorbing layers (21, 21A, 21B, 22, 22A, 22B) are laminated in the inner chamber in the frame 10, and two of the first shock absorbing layers 5 (21, 21A, 21B ) respectively abut against the striking surface plates 15. The density of the first shock absorbing layers (21, 21A, 21B) is greater than the density of the at least one shock absorbing layer (22, 22A, 22B) .
In a first embodiment of the shock absorbing racket according to the present invention, a single second shock-absorbing layer (22) is laminated between two first shock-absorbing layers (21) (see Figure 2).
In a second embodiment of the shock absorbing racket according to the present invention, two second shock absorbing layers (22A) are respectively mounted between two of the three adjacent layers of three first shock absorbing layers (21A) in one arrangement. alternate (Figure 3). In a third embodiment of the shock absorbing racket according to the present invention, three second shock absorbing layers (22B) are mounted together and are mounted between two first shock absorbing layers (21B) (Figure 4). The air passage holes 16 are defined through the striking surface plates 15 on the frame 10 and the first and second shock absorbing layers (21, 21A, 21B, 22, 22A, 22B).
The handle 12 is mounted on the distal end of the connecting bars 11 on the frame 10. The first and second shock absorbing layers (21, 21A, 21B, 22, 22A, 22B) absorb shocks from the impact of a paddleball ball when a 35 paddleball player strikes the paddleball ball with the hitting surface plate 15. Therefore, the shock will not be transmitted and will not hurt the player's hand. In addition, the second or more shock absorbing layers (22, 22A, 22B) have a lower density compared to the first shock absorbing layers (21, 21A, 21B) so that the weight of the racket is reduced.
