Abstract
Description
-1- La présente invention concerne un dispositif destiné à scanner lesThe present invention relates to a device for scanning
faux moignons implantaires dans le domaine de la prothèse dentaire, afin de les usiner sur des systèmes de type c. f. a. o.(conception/fabrication assistée par ordinateur). false implant stumps in the field of dental prosthesis, in order to machine them on type c systems. f. at. o. (Computer Aided Design / Manufacturing).
Traditionally false implant stumps are not feasible on this type of system c.f.a.o., system generally composed of a digital scanner for digitizing fingerprints either optically by l.a.s.e.r. and / or high-definition camera, either mechanically with a probe; as well as a computer allowing the virtual design of the parts and a machining station allowing to realize the virtual parts in any type of materials. This forces users to buy their prosthetic parts from outside companies that do not necessarily offer a good morphological adaptation, because the parts thus provided are usually standard shape and it is necessary to rework them. In addition, these machining companies offer only certain types of implants. Another way to make these false stumps is to sink them with all the disadvantages that this entails: - A material that is not necessarily biocompatible. Surface-related defects related to casting with a precision and a reproducibility less than that obtained with the machining by system c.f.a.o ..
The device according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages. It comprises in fact according to a first feature, an opaque model, preferably light in color, molded or turned in different materials preferably non-reflective such as zirconia, sandblasted metal, epoxy, resin, plastic or other and can incorporate a certain taper ( 0 to 35 degrees). Since the model is the replica of the inside of the implant transfer, it is therefore possible to work on a large number of implant types. The false implant abutment will be shaped according to the usual work of the dental technician and positioned on the scan model. The space formed between the base of the model and the false abutment will be filled with modeling clay or a preform which will ultimately give the shape of the occlusal surface of the false implant stump. The model thus obtained can be centered and mounted by metal rods called pins on a non-reflecting matte base fixed in the scanner and thus allowing its handling between scanning operations. Once this piece is perfectly made it becomes possible to machine false implant abutments of great precision, in the most pointed materials such as, Zirconia, Titanium, Zirconia, alumina, alloys, glass-ceramic or other and on a large number types of implants allowing the realization of false stumps with adapted morphologies and not standard forms to rework. According to particular embodiments: the scanning model may have a taper between 0 and 35 degrees to facilitate machining. a modeling lug or a preform may constitute a suitable base for determining the occlusal surface of the false implant stump. 25 the model can be centered and mounted with pins on a removable base so that it can be manipulated. The attached drawing illustrates the invention: FIG. 1 represents in section, the device of the invention.
With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a model (1) including a certain taper whose base in contact with the mat base (4) is provided with metal rods (3) said pins. It is also provided with a preform or modeling clay (2) to complete the shape of the false implant stump (5).
