DISPOSITIF DE LIAISON D'UN ELEMENT DE TOIT MOBILE L'invention se rapporteDEVICE FOR CONNECTING A MOBILE ROOF ELEMENT The invention relates to
Vehicles are known which, to give a sensation of space, comprise a movable roof 5 in order to discover the passenger compartment. The use of a panel inscribed in the extent of the roof which can be dismounted or can be slid in the plane of the roof is particularly known. Cabriolet convertible vehicles are known that have a roof that can be stored in the trunk of the vehicle. A disadvantage is that the roof must be lodged in the trunk, which limits the volume available for luggage. In addition, the trunk lid must be opened from front to rear by pivoting around its rear edge. If it is desired that the cover also opens from the rear to the front, it is necessary to equip this trunk lid releasable joints. Vehicles are also known whose roof is moved from its position covering the passenger compartment to a position where it is placed on the cover. In a first version DE-A-32 36034, the roof pivots through a deformable parallelogram. In a second EP-A-901 421 version the roof rotates 180 about a transverse axis. In the first document, when the roof is placed on the trunk lid, it can not be opened while in the second document the face of the roof giving in the cockpit is turned outward when the roof is placed on the lid is thus subject to soiling. The invention aims in particular to solve this problem. For this purpose the invention relates to a connecting device of a roof element connected to the vehicle body by a set of connecting rods forming a deformable parallelogram for moving the roof element between a first position where the element roof covers the cockpit and a second position where it rests on the trunk lid 30 this connecting device being characterized in that, on the one hand, the base of the connecting rods is articulated on a so-called intermediate piece pivoting around a so-called pivot axis coaxial with the axis of articulation of the cover and, secondly, it comprises means for locking in rotation of the intermediate piece at least indirectly with the body at least for maneuvering the roof. The invention will be better understood from the following description given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the drawing which represents: FIG. 1: side view of a vehicle with its movable roof covering the passenger compartment FIG 2: side view of a vehicle with its mobile roof resting on the trunk FIG 3: side view of a vehicle with its mobile roof resting on the trunk, the trunk lid being open. FIG. 4 is a section along IV IV of FIG. 2. The description will relate to a device located on the lateral side of a vehicle, it being understood that another device is located on the other side of the vehicle. Referring to the drawing, we see a vehicle having a movable roof element 1 between a position where it covers the passenger compartment and a second position where it covers the lid 2 of the trunk. A connecting device connects the trunk element. roof at the vehicle body by a set of rods 3 forming a deformable parallelogram. Thus, the upper face of the roof is always turned upwards. The trunk lid is hinged to the vehicle body by means of arms 4 here cranked still called goosenecks and this cover rotates about an axis 20A transverse to the conventional direction of travel of the vehicle. This lid 2 opens from the back to the front. According to the invention, on the one hand, the base 3A of the rods 3 is articulated on a so-called intermediate part 5 pivoting about an axis 15 called pivoting coaxial with the hinge axis 2A of the cover and, on the other hand on the other hand, it comprises means 6 for locking the rotation of this intermediate part at least indirectly with the vehicle body for maneuvering the roof between its two positions. During this maneuver the rods 3 pivot freely about their axes 3A while the intermediate part 5 is stationary on the body (see FIG. 2) In a first variant, it is provided that the locking means 6 allow locking between the part intermediate 5 and the cover 2 including the arm 4 which connects the hinge of the lid to said lid. Unlocking is performed only when the roof is placed and fixed on the cabin that partially covers it. More generally this locking is done with a part integral with the movement of the trunk lid. Thus, when the roof is in position covering the passenger compartment, the locking between the intermediate part and the cover can be deactivated so that the cover is then free to rotate relative to this intermediate piece. The roof is then held by other locking means arranged for example on the front cross member. In a second variant shown in FIG. 4, the intermediate part 5 can be locked directly with the vehicle body so that the intermediate part is directly immobilized on the body during the displacement of the roof element between its two positions on the passenger compartment. and on the trunk lid and at the same time, the trunk lid is free to rotate relative to the intermediate part. After a movement of opening the roof and when the roof covers the cover possibly placed on the latter, the intermediate piece is locked at least indirectly with the cover but unlocked relative to the vehicle body. Thus the intermediate piece can be secured to the vehicle body and therefore can not rotate about its axis of rotation. This thus makes it possible to maneuver the roof element with load recovery on the vehicle body via the locking means and not on the lid as indicated above. When the roof is placed on the trunk lid, the locking means secures this intermediate part with the cover 2, for example with the arms 4 of the cover and at the same time unlocks the rotation of this intermediate part with the body 7 of the box. vehicle. Maneuvering the trunk lid will therefore cause the roof element and the intermediate piece. As illustrated in Figure 4, it is advantageous to lock one of the connecting rods 3 so that when the car moves, the roof does not hit the cover. To assist or carry out the movement of the roof element, it is possible to use an actuator or a balancer 8 which is then fixed on this intermediate part and which acts on the connecting rods 3.
The use of a balancer may be particularly interesting to manually perform the movements of the roof. As often, the operation of the lid is assisted by a balancer (not shown) acting between the bottom of the box and the underside of the lid.
Due to the presence of excess weight due to the presence of the roof element on the cover, it can be provided a second balancer (not shown) then acting between the vehicle body and the intermediate part and assisting the rotation of the intermediate piece. There is shown an example of a returned L-shaped intermediate piece.
It is at this horizontal branch 5A that the intermediate part is hinged in particular on a common axis to the pivot axis 2A of the trunk lid. On this horizontal branch and on either side of the axis of rotation are the joints of the connecting rods used for the maneuvering of the roof. Here, the displacement of the roof is assisted by a schematic actuator 8 bearing on the vertical leg 5B of L. The locking means 6 of the intermediate part 5 are shown here in FIG. 4 in the form of a shuttle 6A which it is on the left (see short lines interrupted) engages the vehicle body and the intermediate part and which in its right position as shown in Figure 4 engages the intermediate piece and the arm 20 of the lid. A motor 16 controls the unlocking lock but manual control is possible Preferably, the locking means 6 are carried and / or guided by the intermediate part 5 so that it is easy to steer the shuttle to the left or to the right. . This shuttle, when it is on the right (FIG. 4), locks the intermediate part, the arm 4 of the cover and in the example represented also one of the connecting rods 3. Instead of a shuttle, it could be two independent fingers whose movements can be coordinated. The locking means (6) comprises a first locking means between the intermediate piece and at least indirectly the cover and / or a second locking means of the intermediate piece directly with the vehicle body.
In one embodiment, the first locking means and the second locking means are merged, ie they form a unitary unit such as a shuttle or a set of two fingers. The invention has made it possible to produce a very compact connecting device which occupies a small transverse space and thus makes it possible to free up space in the boot and in the passenger compartment. This device therefore comprises, mounted on a common axis integral with the vehicle body and arranged next to one another, an intermediate part supporting the connecting rods 3 of the movable roof element and an arm 4 for the articulation of the chest.
