Abstract

The seat has a base cushion (1) comprising a seating zone (2) and a lateral wing (3) movable in rotation with respect to the zone. The wing is movable between a raised position, for lateral maintenance of a passenger of a motor vehicle, and a lowered position, in which the wing is coplanar with the seating zone. The cushion has a blocking unit (5) positioning the wing in one of the positions. The unit (5) is formed by metallic plates (8, 9) fixed to a cushion receiving frame and a magnet (7) that is fixed to a pallet (6) and cooperates with one of the plates based on the position of the wing.
