Abstract

  TIGHTS FOR LOCALIZED RUNNING OF CONTENT

  The present invention relates to a tights, that is to say an article of clothing that covers the lower part of the body, from the waist to the two ankles. More particularly, it relates to a pantyhose which is specifically designed for running and which has localized zones of contention effect.

  The contention is well known in the medical field, especially with regard to socks or stockings. This is in the case of textile articles made of an elastic base material, for example from spandex yarns, the knitting mode of which makes it possible to exert a differentiated compression effect according to overlapping zones, , with regard to the ankle, the calf or even the thigh. Socks or compression stockings are recommended when it comes to improving blood circulation.

  In the sports field, it is known to implement a compressive effect in the so-called strapping technique, consisting of surrounding a joint with an elastic band in order to stabilize it. By extension, this technique of strapping is also applied for the maintenance of the muscular masses, for example around the thigh.

  It has already been proposed all kinds of clothing items covering certain parts of the body, with a localized compression effect, compression being exerted only on certain specific areas, this compression being capable of conferring one or the other the benefits of restraint, namely improving blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, proprioception, maintaining muscle mass and / or stabilizing joints.

  In general, these articles consist of a base support on which is reported at least locally a compression band. The base support has a normal elasticity that does not provide a restraining effect. The so-called compression band has a lower elasticity, which, when wearing the article, provides the localized compressive effect that is sought. This compression band may be formed of a textile piece made of a less elastic material than the base support and reported for example by gluing or sewing. It may also be a localized treatment of the base support with an impregnating agent modifying the elasticity of the base support in the impregnated zone.

  Such articles are known in particular from WO-91/01704 and EP-0.519.135.

  The present invention relates more particularly to an article of clothing which consists of a tights specifically designed for running and which has a localized compression effect, mainly for the support of muscle mass and maintenance of the knee joint.

  Running is the repetition of the same movements of the lower limbs, muscles and joints working in the same way with each stride. The first quality of a garment, specially designed for the race, is not to be an inconvenience for the runner and especially not to give rise to mechanical stress may be a complementary source of effort and fatigue.

  According to the applicant, the application to a pantyhose for running the techniques recommended in the documents WO-91/01704 and EP-0.519.135 for the manufacture of articles with localized contention necessarily leads to a pantyhose not having this quality first , but on the contrary having the disadvantage of creating a mechanical stress source of discomfort and fatigue for the runner.

  The present invention is to overcome this disadvantage by providing a tights for running, localized contention effect, consisting of extensible textile parts, assembled to each other, namely first pieces of normal elasticity, seconds compression parts and possibly third parts with superior elasticity. In addition, all the first and second pieces have, in the assembly, substantially the same average elasticity in the longitudinal direction of the pantyhose and the second pieces have, in the transverse direction, an elasticity which is less than at least half of the elasticity of the first pieces.

  Thus, according to the particular provisions of the present invention, the adhesive has substantially the same elasticity over its entire height, in the longitudinal direction, that is to say in the general direction of the lower limbs; this elasticity, called average, is chosen so as not to cause discomfort or mechanical stress during repetitive movements of the lower limbs of the runner. Therefore, the presence of the second compression parts does not alter the elasticity of the adhesive in the longitudinal direction, unlike what happens when the compression zones are strips or obtained by impregnation of a processing agent locally modifying the elasticity of the base support, as in the aforementioned documents.

  The notion of average elasticity takes into account the normal variations of mechanical properties in any textile manufacture, variations resulting from the differences due in particular to the provenances of the raw materials, to the conditions of weaving or knitting, to the adjustments of the trades.

  The variations, plus and minus, with respect to an average value can be of the order of 5 to 10%, sometimes even more.

  According to the present invention, the compression effect is obtained solely by the difference in elasticity, in the transverse direction of the adhesive, at the level of the second pieces. Preferably, the mean transverse elasticity difference between the first and second compression members is in the ratio of 2 to 3.

  For example, the average elasticities in the longitudinal directions of the first and second parts are respectively 100% and 97%, while their average elasticities in the transverse direction are respectively 130% and 50%.

  In an alternative embodiment, the first and second pieces being of the woven type with warp yarns and / or of the knitted type with mesh columns, the warp yarns and / or the mesh columns, have in the assembly all the same longitudinal direction. It is understood that compliance with this provision requires a particularly precise preparation, but it is at this price that can be obtained the desired effects for the tights of the present invention.

  Preferably, the assembly of the parts is carried out by seams of the flatlock or suture type, advantageously by using foam-type yarns and with sewing thread tensions which are set at values lower than those of the conventional seams. to avoid that the presence of seams creates a heterogeneity in the average elasticities, especially in the longitudinal direction, of the assembled parts.

  In a preferred embodiment, the assembly of the first and second parts at the knee is made with a bent construction at a bending angle of 20 to 25.   The tights 1 is mainly intended for runners of medium and long distances.
