1 DESCRIPTION

  In show, and mainly in amusement parks, we know different systems to produce flames by surprise on the surface of the water, but they are not satisfactory because of the dangerousness of the fuels used, or because their insufficient protection against the constraints of the aquatic environment.

  Either the humidity produces a short circuit that can destroy the electrical circuit of the projector; a static drop of water forms an insulator around an electrode and prevents the arc from forming.

  The invention solves all these disadvantages by proposing a method for equipping a flame projector with a secure ignition system and sealed.

  A flame projector constructed according to the arrangements described below, can easily be installed at the water's edge on a floating or fixed structure.

4 CLAIMS   1 sealed device for producing flames for the show, 5 comprising: an ignition system capable of generating an electric arc between two electrodes; a distribution network for a fuel producing a hydrocarbon spray that can be ignited by said arc, characterized in that said device comprises: a chassis inside which are included various components mainly comprising a distribution network; a fuel - a supply network of the ignition system and various safety devices, these components being embedded in a resin cast inside the frame insulating said components against the action of moisture; and - the insulators of said electrodes are also sealed by immersing them in said resin.   2 Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the ignition system is capable of producing several electric arcs.   3 Device according to claim 2, characterized in that said arcs are powered independently of each other, so as to ensure the presence of at least one arc at the time of emission of said spray.   4 Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized. in that it comprises long electrodes whose insulators are embedded in said resin.   - Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it is capable of producing a small flame from a small spray used to prime and make reliable ignition of the main flame by a main spray.   6. Device according to claim 5, characterized in that said fuel distribution network comprises an additional nozzle of small size to produce a said small spray used to initiate the ignition of the main spray.   7 Apparatus according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ignition system comprises a compressed air distribution adapted to clean the nozzle or dry electrodes, the air inlet being automatic.   8 Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is capable of producing large flames with a pressicn greater than 20 bar.   9 Process for producing flames for the show with the aid of a device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device is installed at the water level on a floating or fixed structure.   10 Process for producing flames for the spectacle using a sealed device according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that said device is immersed under the surface of the water and then emerged with the aid of an ascending machinery.
