Abstract

The package, made from a single cut and folded panel of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard, is made up to form a flat vertical base (2) with a double thickness wall (30) perpendicular to it, two sides (16) and a semi-elastic cord (32) to hold the articles of footwear (28) in place. The cord passes through two notches (22) at the sides of the package to hold it in the correct position towards the end furthest from the perpendicular wall.

Description

The present invention relates to devices for packaging and

  sales presentation for footwear such as shoes,

  slippers, clogs or the like.

  Conventionally, shoes, slippers, slippers, clogs or other footwear of the same kind are stored or presented for sale in rectangular cardboard boxes. It also happens that these articles are associated with hooking members intended for their attachment to linear rods of the type

"parrot" for example.

  The parallelepipedic packaging provides effective protection of footwear, and it facilitates storage in reserve by stacking. However, these packages do not allow a direct view of the product, and they require placing at least one copy of the footwear on display to prevent the consumer from opening said packages. In addition, the corresponding packaging makes it difficult to present on shelves, which leads to

  an increase in storage volumes.

  Footwear that is associated with hooks for their attachment to shelf supports is devoid of protective packaging, and they are therefore potentially sensitive to any type of external attack. In addition, the removal and repositioning of the hooking structures in question often constitute delicate operations, which does not facilitate the fitting of the

  The present invention overcomes these drawbacks by proposing a packaging and presentation device for the sale of footwear combining in particular effective protection of said footwear against mechanical attack, and an at least partial direct view of the product. The device according to the invention also allows easy extraction of footwear, in particular for fitting by the customer, and repackaging just as easy; it allows

  also the storage and presentation of the product on a shelf support.

  The device according to the invention, for the packaging and the presentation for sale of footwear comprises a dihedral for receiving said footwear, formed of a flat bottom element and of a square return element or substantially square, associated with a means of strapping capable of encircling said footwear and said bottom element to ensure the maintenance of said

  footwear on said dihedral.

  Preferably, the strapping in question consists of an elastic cord

or substantially elastic.

  According to a preferred embodiment, the flat bottom element is delimited by two side edges each comprising a notch ensuring the holding in position of the strapping, which notch is located in half of said bottom element

  The cardboard blank 1 comprises a bottom element 2 of generally rectangular shape delimited by two edges of sides 3, and by two edges of ends,

  one upper 4 and the other lower 5.

  The upper edge 4 is extended by a rectangular flap 6 connected by a double fold line 7; the lower edge 5 is extended by a flap 8 connected by a fold line 9, said flap 8 consisting of two rectangular portions and 11, of identical or substantially identical dimensions, connected by a

double fold line 12.

  The flap 8 has a width identical to the width of the bottom element 2.

The end border of the extensions 16 has a wavy line defining two bearings each corresponding roughly , for one to the profile of the kick part of the

  footwear, and for the other part of the upper.

  These lateral extensions 16 are connected to the bottom element 2 by the fold lines 17 only in the upper half of said bottom element 2. In the lower part, that is to say on the side of the lower flap 8, it is noted the presence of

  cutouts 18 having a generally triangular shape, which separate the two elements.

  At their lower end, the extensions 16 include flaps 19 each attached by a fold line 20 which extends in the

  extension of the fold line 9 defined above.

  The flaps 19 have a length at most equal to half the width of the flap 8; their width is the same or slightly less than the length of the rectangular portions

10 and 11.

  On each fold line 17 which connects the side edges of the bottom element 2 and the lateral extensions 16, there is a small orifice 22. Each orifice 22 has an oblong shape and extends over a few millimeters , symmetrically on either side of the fold line 17, on the bottom element 2 and the

lateral extension 16.

  The upper part of the bottom element 2 is provided with an orifice 24, centered on the median axis 25 of the blank 1. This orifice 24 has a shape and dimensions suitable for

  cooperate with a shelf support, for example of the "parrot" type.

  The upper rectangular flap 6 also includes a centered orifice 26 intended to double the aforementioned orifice 24 of the bottom element 2, when said flap 6

  is folded against said bottom element 2.

  The packaging and volume presentation device of FIGS. 2 to 4 is obtained, adapted to receive a pair of footwear 28, as illustrated in

Figures 3 and 4.

  This device is in the general form of a polyhedron comprising a bottom element 2, the lower edge of which is extended by a return element 30 at right angles or substantially at right angles, constituted by the superposition of the portions of material 10 , 11 and flaps 19; the side edges of the bottom element 2 are connected to the side edges of the return element 30 by means of the

  extensions 16 forming side walls.

  The distance between the side walls 16, which corresponds substantially to the width of the bottom element 2 and to the width of the return element 30, corresponds substantially to the width of a pair of footwear 28 juxtaposed. The length of the bottom element 2, namely the distance separating the upper 4 and lower 5 end edges is substantially identical to the length of said footwear, and the length of the return element 30, namely the distance between the end edge 5 of the return element 30 and the double fold line 12, is substantially identical to

  the height of the rear part of the footwear.

  The pair of footwear 28 is positioned on the dihedral formed by the bottom element 2 and the return element 30, their sole being placed in abutment against said bottom element 2 and their rear part being positioned against the return item

  , the two side walls 16 serving to complete the partitioning on the sides.

  In addition, the maintenance of the footwear in the packaging device, and in particular on the dihedral 2, 30, is ensured by the presence of a strapping 32 appearing in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4, preferably consisting of a small plastic or textile cord. This cord 32 surrounds the footwear 28 and the bottom element 2 passing over the upper part of said footwear, on the outer faces of the side walls 16 and on the outer face of the bottom element 2. This cord 32 s 'extends in a plane substantially parallel to the return element 30 and it is advantageously positioned on the upper half of the bottom element 2, held in position by the notches of angles formed when the packaging is placed in volume by the elongated orifices 20 The strapping or cord 32 is advantageously made of an elastic or substantially elastic material to allow easy positioning and extraction of the footwear 28 in the packaging of the present invention. It will be noted that it is possible to provide two or more separated straps in order to

  to improve the hold of the footwear in the dihedral of the invention.

  The footwear 28 can be very easily inserted by their front end between the bottom element 2 and the cord 32 to ensure their positioning on the support dihedral 2, 30. They are effectively maintained in

  this position and, if necessary, can be just as easily extracted from it.

  The openings 18 arranged in the lower part of the lateral extensions 16 allow direct visual access to the lower lateral part of the footwear, in particular their heel, without the need to remove the footwear from

its conditioning.

  The number, positioning and shape of these orifices can vary as required. They can also be used to contribute to the overall aesthetics of the packaging. The side walls 16 ensure a good quality of wedging of the products in the packaging. They make it possible to define the angle between the bottom element 2 and the return element 30; and they also allow the active part of the cord 32 to be kept away from the bottom element 2 to facilitate positioning and

  the removal of footwear.

  In a less efficient alternative embodiment, these walls 16 can be

deleted.

  The orifice 24 of the bottom element 2 and the orifice 26 of the flap 6 are placed opposite; they are freely accessible between the two conditioned footwear and allow easy attachment of this packaging on a shelf support, for example a projecting horizontal rod, of the "parrot" type. The corresponding principle makes it possible to optimize the vertical size of the packaging on the shelf. The presence of the folding panel 6 ensures increased resistance to mechanical damage due to the weight of the footwear, in particular during storage and

  the destocking of the device on the shelf supports.

  In particular, the informative labels relating to the contents of the packaging, namely the type of article, the size, the material, the price, the bar code ... can be affixed directly on the packaging, for example on the face inside of the return panel, between the two footwear, so as to preserve the aesthetic integrity of the

conditioned product.

Claims (10)

- CLAIMS   1.- A device for packaging and presenting a pair of footwear for sale (28), characterized in that it comprises - a dihedral for receiving said footwear, formed of a flat bottom element (2 ) and a return element (30) at right angles or substantially at right angles, and - a means (32) in the form of a hooping, capable of encircling said footwear and said bottom element (2),   ensuring the maintenance of said footwear on said dihedral (2, 30).   2.- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the strapping (32) is   consisting of an elastic or substantially elastic cord.   3.- Device according to any one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in   that the bottom element (22) is delimited by two side edges (3) each comprising a notch (20) ensuring the holding in position of the strapping (32), which notches (22) are located in half of said element background (2) which is   remote from the return element (30).   4.- Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that   that it has side walls (16) connecting the side edges of the element   bottom (2) and the side edges of the return element (30).   5.- Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the side walls (16) each have at least one opening (18) allowing visual access   direct to certain sides of the packaged footwear (28).   6.- Device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that   that the bottom element (2) has, at its upper end edge   (4), an orifice (24) allowing it to be hung on any support.   7.- Device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that   that it is made of semi-rigid material such as cardboard.   8.- Device according to claim 7, characterized in that it comprises a bottom element (2) whose upper end edge (4) comprises a reinforcing flap (6), foldable, provided with an orifice ( 26) coming to be positioned opposite the orifice (24) arranged in the bottom element (2), when said flap (6) is folded down against said bottom element (2).   9.- Blank of cardboard or semi-rigid material whose volume allows obtaining a packaging device according to any one of claims 1 to 8.   10.- cardboard blank according to claim 9, characterized in that it comprises a bottom element (2) delimited by two side edges (3), an upper end edge (4) and an end edge lower (5), the lower end edge (5) extending by a lower flap (8) connected by a fold line (9), said side edges (3) having lateral extensions (16) of a identical or substantially identical length to the length of said bottom element (2), which extensions (16) themselves comprise, on the side of said flap (8), movable flaps (19) connected by a fold line (20), said lower flap (8) comprising two parts (10 and 11), said first part (10) and said second part (11) having identical or substantially identical dimensions and being connected by a double fold line (12), which first and second parts (10, 11) are adapted to take in sandwi ch the movable flaps (19) of the lateral extensions (16) during the setting up, by folding down of said second part (11) in the direction of said first part (10), of the pins (14) arranged on the edge of end (13) of said second part (11), being adapted to fit into orifices (15) provided in the bottom element (2) at the level of said fold line (9) of   so as to maintain the volume.
