Abstract

Applicator kit (10) comprises one or more liquid-containing applicators (20) and a product capable of being solubilized, disintegrated, emulsified or reacted with the liquid in the applicators. The applicators comprise a tube containing the liquid, an applicator tip and a plug of liquid or powder that separates the liquid from the tip and is discharged from the tube together with the liquid. Description

The present invention relates to application assemblies for a product,

  in particular a make-up or care product.

  Cases are known comprising a housing containing a product loaf, also called a cake, and an applicator comprising an application element constituted for example by a brush or a brush or by a foam tip. During use, a liquid, for example water or saliva, is deposited on the surface of the product roll to moisten it and allow the applicator to

  US Pat. No. 3,958,571 discloses an applicator comprising a tube comprising a liquid and an application element at one end of the tube. Such an applicator is provided

  to apply a medication such as an iodine solution.

  The invention aims to meet all or part of the needs identified above.

  The subject of the invention is, according to one of its aspects, an application assembly comprising: - at least one applicator comprising at least: a tube, - an application element at one end of the tube, - at least one liquid contained in an interior space of the tube, - preferably at least one stopper of a liquid or a powder in the tube, separating the liquid and the applicator element before use, this stopper 10 being arranged for evacuate with the liquid when the latter leaves the interior space of the tube during use, and - a product capable of being dissolved, of being disintegrated or emulsified by the

  liquid, and / or capable of reacting with the latter.

  Thanks to the invention, the risk of contamination by impurities of the product is reduced, since the liquid used to dissolve, disperse, disintegrate or emulsify it can be substantially sterile and be supplied at the last moment, so that '' it does not stagnate on contact with the product. As the quantity of liquid supplied may be small, the product may

  dry quickly. In addition, the application set can be easily transported.

  The application assembly may include a plurality of applicators, each for single use, thereby further reducing the risk of product contamination.

  The application element can be chosen from the group consisting of: a cotton tip, a foam tip, a felt tip, a flocked tip, a pad, a ceramic tip or in a sintered material. The application element can still

  have a brush, comb or paintbrush.

  The volume of liquid contained in the tube can be for example between

  0.01 ml and 5 ml, or even 0.05 and 5 ml or better between 0.05 and 1 ml.

  The aforementioned interior space can be closed on a side opposite the element

  application by a breakable, removable, perforable or deformable end.

  Another subject of the invention is, according to another of its aspects, a method of applying a product to the skin or the integuments, in particular a cosmetic or care product, comprising the following steps: - providing an applicator comprising at least: - a tube, in particular a tube provided at one end with a breakable part, - an application element at one end of the tube, comprising a product, - at least one liquid contained in an interior space of the tube, this liquid being capable of rendering disintegrating, of dissolving or of emulsifying the product, - at least one stopper of a liquid or of a powder in the tube, separating the liquid and the application element before use, - open the applicator tube, the cap being able to drain with the liquid towards the application element, and - apply the application element to the skin or the integuments.   FIG. 1 shows an application assembly 10 comprising a housing 11 having a base part 14 and a pivoting cover 12 provided on its face

  The base part 14 comprises, in the example under consideration, a housing 15 containing a product P bread and compartments 17 each containing a plurality

  FIGS. 2 to 4 show individually an applicator 20.

  This can be, for example, an applicator as described in US Pat. No. 702,035. Applicators of this type are sold by the Californian company 30 Swabplus Inc. Each applicator 20 comprises a tube 21 containing a liquid V, this tube being, in the illustrated assembly, made of plastic and provided at a closed end with a breakable or removable part 22. The latter is covered, in the example considered, by a cotton tip. The tube 21 is open at the other end, opposite the

  breakable part 22, being provided for example at this end with an application element 23.

  In the example illustrated, the application element 23 has a cotton tip, in the manner of a cotton swab. The liquid V is contained in an interior space of the tube 21 situated between the breakable part 22 and a plug 24 present in the tube 21, on the side of its end

  opened. This plug 24 can be constituted for example by a liquid.

  The volume of liquid V may be suitable for a single use of the applicator, being determined according to the nature of the product and the envisaged application, and may vary

  for example between 0.01 ml and 5 ml, better between 0.05 and 1 ml. The outside diameter of the tube 21 is for example less than 6 mm, or even less than or equal to approximately 3 mm. The internal diameter of the tube 21 can be between approximately 0.5 mm and approximately 3 mm, for example.

  The stopper 24 may consist of any inert liquid or powder compatible with the conditioning of the liquid V in the tube 21, in particular a liquid which does not react with the liquid V, capable of being easily evacuated from the tube 21 at the time of use, and moreover physiologically acceptable. The plug 24 makes it possible in particular to isolate the liquid V from the air, to prevent its evaporation and to contaminants

exteriors to penetrate.

  The liquid of the liquid plug 24 can consist, for example, of a mineral oil or a fluorinated product, among others. In the example considered, the plug 24 is formed of silicone. The amount of liquid forming the plug 24 is small compared to that of the liquid V. The liquid V can serve as a vehicle, being constituted for example by a solvent 25 and / or a dispersant capable of dissolving or dispersing the product P, and being chosen from the group consisting of: pure water, an aqueous or oily solution, a solution containing at least one surfactant, a fluorinated solvent, this list not being limiting. The tube can comprise at least two liquids of different natures so as to form at least two phases inside the tube, in addition to the plug 24, as will be described later. The liquid V can contain at least one compound capable of reacting with the product, P, for example to produce an exothermic, endothermic or effervescence reaction. Furthermore, the liquid V can contain at least one agent having an effect on the skin, for example a soothing anti-inflammatory, an anti-wrinkle, an anti-UV, an anti-acne,

  a depigmenting, an antiseptic, a healing, a sanitizer.

  When the breakable part 22 is broken, the air can enter the tube 21 on the side opposite the open end and the liquid V can flow by gravity into the tube 21 and gain the applicator element 23, as illustrated in Figures 3 and 4, to be

applied to the skin, for example.

  In the example considered, the cotton tip covering the breakable part 22

  keeps it integral with the rest of the tube 21, even after it has broken.

  We can see in Figures 1 to 4 that each applicator 20 may include an indication 25 visible to the user, this indication 25 may include, for example, an alphanumeric sign or a specific color allowing the user to distinguish

  the different applicators between them.

  The different applicators 20 of the application assembly 10 of FIG. 1 15 may for example contain liquids V having different active agents or scents, the applicators 20 comprising the same liquid V being grouped in the same

compartment 17 of the housing 11.

  All the applicators 20 comprising the same liquid V can for example

have the same indication 25.

  When using the application set 10, the user can, by selecting an applicator 20 from the different groups of applicators 20 contained in the different compartments 17, apply the product P with the active principle or the

desired scent.

  To use an applicator 20, the user breaks the breakable part 22, which allows the liquid V to impregnate the application element 23, then the user brings the application element into contact with the product P to disintegrate or dissolve it, or to allow a reaction between the liquid V and the product P, and load the application element 23 with the product P. The applicator 20 can be used for example to apply a product P of 30 makeup or care on the lips, as illustrated in figure 6, on the eyelids

  as illustrated in figure 7 or on the nails as illustrated in figure 8.

  The application assembly may be presented differently from that of FIG. 1

  The housing 11 can for example, as illustrated in FIG. 9, comprise a single

  compartment 17 to house all identical applicators, for example, and several housings 15 containing products which may differ from each other in particular by the color or the active agents which they contain.

  The application element can have various shapes, in particular a rounded or pointed end, for example in the form of a flame as shown in the

  The application element can also have a fork shape, such as

  shown in Figure 12, for example to facilitate the gripping of a lock, an eyelash 15 or an eyebrow.

  The applicator element may also be in the form of a foam tip as illustrated in FIG. 13, a flocked tip as shown in FIG. 14, a fibrous tip or include bristles arranged at the like a brush or a paintbrush. It can be seen in FIG. 14 that the application element can have an eccentric shape, for example adapted to the nature of the makeup to be produced or to the relief of the region.

  It can be seen in FIG. 19 that this comb may include an internal channel 28 which communicates with the tube 21, so as to allow the liquid V to gain at least one orifice 29 produced at the base of the teeth. In a variant not illustrated, the outlet orifices

  The product P2 can for example be a powder of emulsifiable granules

containing a liquid.

  Self-dispersible granules in a liquid, in particular water, are described in applications WO 97/15386, WO 97/15385 and WO 00/26280. Such granules can comprise at least one active material in the form of a hydrophobic liquid, and at least one water-soluble compound capable of forming a solid continuous film trapping

  hydrophobic active material droplets.

  The product P can also be in the form of a layer present at the

  surface of an application element, as illustrated in FIG. 22.

  In this figure, it can be seen that a cup-shaped support 46 can be fixed to

  The liquid contained in the tube 21 can be used for example to dissolve a binder which retains the product P on the surface of the pad 45, so as to allow the transfer of the

  The product P can also be configured to form the application element 25 as illustrated in FIG. 23.

  We see in this figure that the product P can be produced for example under the

  form of a block 48, fixed at the end of the tube 21. The product P is porous, so that the liquid V can impregnate it and allow its transfer to the surface to be treated.

  The application element 23 can, for example, disintegrate to deposit material in order to fill in wrinkles. It can be seen in FIG. 24 that the block 48 of product P can include a

  housing 49 in which the end of the tube 21 is received.

  We see in Figure 23 that the applicator can be packaged in a sachet

  individual, prior to use.

  It can be seen in FIG. 25 that the breakable part can be connected to the rest of the tube by a preferential breaking zone 27, materialized for example by a notch or a thinning of the wall of the tube at this level. The breakable part can be produced in various other ways without departing from the scope of the present invention.

  In particular, as illustrated in FIG. 26, it is possible to configure the applicator so that the breakable part 22 can be entirely separated from the tube 21 after having manually exerted a break movement by holding the tube 21 with one hand and the part

The product P can only be used to produce such a change in color, which can be used to allow the user to visualize the impregnation of the application element by the liquid, which can be useful in particular when the latter is transparent or relatively viscous and a minimum duration must be observed to allow the liquid V to completely impregnate the application element. In this case, the user may proceed with the application only after the application element has completely changed color.

  The product P present in the application element can also be a compound

  making it possible to color or discolour keratin fibers.

  The application element may for example comprise an oxidizing powder and the

  liquid V an oxidation dye, which makes it possible, for example, to color or discolour the eyelashes, the eyebrows, or to treat the hairline.

  The product P may also comprise fibers intended to be dispersed by the liquid V on the treated surface, for example the skin, the eyelashes or the eyebrows, to be spread there, for example in preferential directions and to provide for example effects

  optics for elongation, expansion, shine or the like.

  The product P contained in the applicator element may comprise a swelling polymer, for example a polymer capable of reacting with water, the product P reacting to

  contact of liquid V to form a gel or cream.

  The product P may in particular be such as to form a film on the surface of the

  lips, especially a shiny or protective film. The product P can be configured to form, for example, a gel for the eyelashes or the eyebrows, allowing their shaping.

  In the case of a lip gloss or a gel for eyelashes or

  eyebrows, the liquid V can for example contain an oil.

  Of course, the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments which

have just been described.

  If necessary, the applicator can be used in combination with a stencil

  in order to create a decorative motif or to facilitate localized treatment.

  The term “tube” should be understood to mean any body, preferably generally elongated, of constant section or not, having at least one internal channel capable of containing a liquid, such a tube being able to have a longitudinal axis, whether straight or not. The invention is not limited to a circular outer section tube, nor to a tube produced in accordance with the teaching of US Pat. No. 5,702,035.

  Throughout the description, including the claims, the expression

  "comprising a" should be understood as being synonymous with "comprising at least

  a ", unless otherwise specified.

Claims (28)

  1. Application assembly (10) comprising: - at least one applicator (20) comprising at least: - a tube (21), - an application element (23) at one end of the tube, - at least one liquid (V) contained in an interior space of the tube, - at least one stopper (24) of a liquid or a powder in the tube, separating the liquid (V) and the application element (23) before l use, arranged to drain with the liquid (V) when the latter leaves the interior space of the tube during use, and a product (P) capable of being dissolved, of being rendered disintegrating or emulsified   by the liquid (V) and / or capable of reacting with the latter.   2. Assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the application element (23) is chosen from the group consisting of: a cotton tip, a foam tip, a felt tip, a flocked tip, a pad, a ceramic or plastic tip a sintered material.   3. Assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the element   application (23) comprises a brush, a comb or a paintbrush.   4. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the volume of liquid (V) contained in the tube is between   0.01 ml and 5 ml, preferably 0.05 ml and 1 ml.   5. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized by the fact that the interior space is closed on a side opposite the application element (23) by a breakable end (22) which is removable, perforable or deformable.   6. Assembly according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the applicator comprises an element for holding the end (22) on the tube (21) after its sectioning.   7. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the stopper (24) is a liquid stopper, the latter is chosen   in the group consisting of: mineral oils, fluorinated products, silicones.   8. An assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized by   the fact that when the stopper (24) is a powder stopper, the latter being chosen from the group consisting of: powders of microspheres of copolymers, of Nylon,   waxes, silicas or silicones.   9. An assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the liquid (V) is chosen from the group consisting of: pure water, an aqueous or oily solution, a solution containing at least one surfactant, a fluorinated solvent, an alcohol or a polyol, a physiological serum sterile, artificial tears.   10. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that it comprises at least two applicators (20) containing different liquids (V).   11. Assembly according to claim 10, characterized in that the liquids   (V) comprise at least two different compounds.   12. Assembly according to claim 10, characterized in that the liquids   (V) have different colors.   13. The assembly of claim 10, characterized in that the liquids (V) have different scents.   14. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the product (P) is devoid of preservative.   15. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the product (P) comprises at least one pigment or dye.   16. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that it comprises a housing (11) in which can be housed at least one applicator (20).   17. The assembly of claim 16, characterized in that the housing   comprises a housing (15) containing the product (P).   18. The assembly of claim 17, characterized in that the product (P)   is in the form of bread, dough or agglomerated powder.   19. An assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 16, characterized by   the fact that the product (P) is contained in the application element.   20. The assembly of claim 19, characterized in that the product (P)   is a powder comprising emulsifiable granules filled with a liquid.   21. The assembly of claim 19, characterized in that the product (P)   is configured to form at least part of the application element.   22. Assembly according to claim 19, characterized in that the application element (23) is porous, in particular fibrous, and in that the product (P) is dispersed in or bonded to the application element (23) or grafted or fixed on fibers or   hairs of the application element.   23. The assembly of claim 19, characterized in that the product (P) 10 is present in the form of a layer on the surface of the application element (45).   24. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims   characterized by the fact that it comprises at least one sachet (30) inside which is   contained at least one applicator before use.   25. Use of the application assembly according to any one of the preceding claims for make-up, make-up removal, hygiene, cleaning or   care for eyelashes, lips, eyelids, nails or a part of the body or face, teeth or gums.   26. Method for applying a product to the skin or the integuments, in particular a cosmetic or care product, comprising the following steps: 20 - providing an applicator comprising at least: - a tube (21), - an element d application (23) to one end of the tube, comprising a product (P), - at least one liquid (V) contained in an interior space of the tube, this liquid being capable of rendering disintegrating, dissolving or emulsifying the product (P), - at least one stopper (24) of a liquid or a powder in the tube, separating the liquid (V) and the application element (23) before use, - open the tube of the applicator, the plug (24) being capable of being discharged with the liquid (V) towards the application element (23), and   - apply the application element (23) to the skin or the integuments.   27. A method of applying a product (P) to the skin or the integuments comprising the following steps: - providing an applicator comprising at least: - a tube (21), - an application element (23) to a end of the tube, - at least one liquid (V) contained in an interior space of the tube, this liquid being capable of rendering disintegrating, of dissolving or of emulsifying the product (P), - at least one stopper (24) of a liquid or powder in the tube, separating the liquid (V) and the application element (23) before use, - open the tube of the applicator, the cap (24) being able to be evacuated with the liquid (V) towards the application element (23), - withdraw the product (P) by disintegrating, solubilizing or emulsifying with the aid of the liquid (V), and - applying the application element ( 23) on the skin or the integuments. 28. A process for dyeing keratin fibers from a composition formed by the extemporaneous mixture of two components, comprising the following steps: providing an applicator comprising at least: - a tube (21), - an application element to one end of the tube, this application element comprising one of the components, in particular an oxidizing powder, - the other component in particular a liquid containing an oxidation dye, being contained in an interior space of the tube (21), - at least one stopper of a liquid or powder (24) in the tube, separating this other component and the application element before use, - open the tube of the applicator, the stopper (24) being able to evacuate with one of the components towards the application element (23), and   applying the composition to the keratin fibers.
