Set of presentation to the public of packaging for

  The present invention relates to a set for the presentation to the public of packaging for various articles, with a view in particular to promoting them or their display for sale. The invention more specifically relates to an assembly of this type which can be produced using modular elements made of a semi-rigid material such as

corrugated cardboard.

  Numerous displays have been proposed in the art, 10 for the presentation to the public of various articles in the

  the same packaging used for their transport.

  It is clear that such displays, the use of which is limited in time, must be inexpensive and that it is necessary to be able to assemble and disassemble them easily on the exhibition premises. 15 This is the reason why a large number of these displays are made of a semi-rigid material, which lends itself well to the production of

  inexpensive structures of various shapes.

  The present invention aims to provide a new display which differs from those of the prior art in that it consists of modular elements, capable of being assembled in different combinations, at the same place of use, to form structures of variable shapes and dimensions, which we adapt to

  packaging to display for sale.

  To this end, the subject of the invention is a set of presentation to the public of packaging for various articles, this set being characterized in that it consists of modular elements made of a semi-rigid material such as corrugated cardboard between them only by embedding, these elements comprising: - sheaths of polygonal section, intended to form vertical pillars; - and beams, also of polygonal section, able to be

  assembled either together, perpendicular to each other, to form a base supporting said sleeves, or with said sleeves, to form supports at various levels for the packages.

  The pillar sheaths and beams can be

various dimensions.

  The pillars as the beams can have in different locations cutouts having a shape complementary to

  beams which are intended to be engaged and embedded therein.

  These beams can join together in the manner of horizontal spacers 5 the vertical pillars formed by the sleeves, the assembly thus forming an autonomous structure which simply rests on the base formed by

the other beams.

  This base can advantageously have the shape of a pallet.

  Other beams can simply project horizontally in 10 overhangs from the pillars.

  The pillar sleeves can advantageously have a

  square or rectangular cross section.

  The beams are preferably made of a single piece of corrugated cardboard, suitably folded and assembled by gluing, so as to form a section structure in the form of an isosceles trapezoid,

  of the type described in EP-B-O 456 961 or similar.

  In order to present an excellent mechanical resistance, such a beam can, for example, advantageously be obtained, by folding around parallel upsets between them from a single panel of semi-rigid material, that of the two parallel walls of the smaller beam width being connected by two upsets to the two side walls of the beam, these side walls themselves being articulated each by a upsetting on a separate half from that of the two parallel walls of greater width.   As can be seen in these drawings, the display unit comprises two autonomous structures, the first 1 forming a base in the form of a handling pallet and the second 2 forming a support frame 15 for packaging, here fruit and vegetable trays 3 , who

rests on the base 1.

  According to the invention, all the constituent elements of the base

  1 and the support structure 2 are made of corrugated cardboard and cooperate with each other by nesting some of them in cutouts of 20 complementary shapes made in the other elements.

  In known manner, the base 1 consists of beams with a cross section

  isosceles trapezium shape of different dimensions, namely three longitudinal members 4, joined transversely by cross-members 5, engaged in cutouts 6 of complementary shape to the longitudinal members 4, so as to form a pallet.

  As can be seen in FIGS. 4 and 5, the longitudinal members 4, like the crosspieces 5, have in section the shape of an isosceles trapezoid, the small base of which (respectively, 4a, Sa) is articulated by two parallel outlets on two inclined side walls (4b, 5b) while the large base of the trapezoid comprises two longitudinal parts (4c, 5c)

  of equal length and whose width is equal to half that of this large base. These longitudinal parts are articulated respectively by upsets parallel to the previous ones on the side walls (4b, 5c) and on two internal partitions (4d, 5d) perpendicular to the small base (4a, Sa) and assembled together by gluing.

  The base 1 also includes legs 7 made up of sections of the side members 4 and capped by cutouts of complementary shape

  The structure 2 comprises vertical pillars, consisting of 5 sleeves 8, here of rectangular cross section, the faces of which are arranged in parallel and have cutouts 9 at regular intervals, of a shape complementary to that of the cross section of the crosspieces 5 which they are intended to receive to form a

  rigid structure, which rests on the base 1 by the pillars 9.

  Other crosspieces 5 project overhanging the other side of the pillars and form, at different parallel levels, supports for packages 10, here fruit and vegetable trays exhibited in public, some of these packages being able to be arranged in

  inclined position on inclined supports.

  A vertical partition such as 11, in cutouts of which the crosspieces 5 are engaged, can separate the trays exposed to the public and supported by the crosspieces 5 overhanging a reserve of other similar trays, supported by the 'other side of the partition 11 by spacers joining the pillars 9. Side walls such as 12 can be arranged perpendicular to the partition 11 for

  The pillars 8 can of course support auxiliary structures such as pediments, covering these pillars or fitting into them.
