Abstract

The mobile cutter consists of a wheeled chassis plate (2), a cutting plate (6) with a blade holder (7, 8) and blade (9), and a cutting height adjuster in the form of threaded rods (3a, 3b) and movable spacers (4). The chassis plate has four wheels (1) for stable operation, and the cutting plate has guide rollers (5a, 5b). The height adjusters have knurled wheels (10a, 10b) to lock the cutting plate in the required position. Variants of the design can have a heater to soften the material before cutting, and an electric cutter.

  The present invention relates to a working tool which is used to cut the surplus material, for example PVC or Linoleum during the installation of skirting boards on the walls, in rooms designated waterproof or not (for example: hospitals, clinics, maternity hospitals and retirement homes).

  This device allows a quick and clean cut to be made

  the best working conditions.

  So far unlike some tools made of casters, this device can not go to the end of the return wall, so it will be enough to disengage and finish the last centimeters remaining with the cutter, by hand.

  With this tool, tracing the cutting height on the walls is no longer necessary.

  It consists of 4 wheels (1) mounted on a rigid chassis plate (2), on which are fixed at the front and rear (of the chassis), 2 threaded rods (3) for a variable height which can reach at most 25 cm. All this will have the function of guiding a second plate (6) which will slide between the 2 threaded rods (3).

  To adjust the height of the plinth to be cut, aluminum spacers (4) are provided with different heights, which pass through the 2 rods (3) and are placed between the chassis plate (2) and the cutting plate (6). . The assembly will be tightened with 2 knobs which will stabilize the entire device.

  The cutting deck (6) will preferably be made of aluminum with the part

flush with the square wall.

  An opening is provided for the location of the blades (9) which will be held by small lugs, placed so that they give an adequate inclination to the cut of the coating. The blade (s) will be held by a plate (7) and a clamping screw (8).

  Under the cutting deck (6), two small wheels or rollers (5) will be fixed with an eccentric system to move forwards or backwards depending on the thickness to be cut of the covering, because these areas are pressed directly against the wall allowing no effort during the work.

  It is preferable to protect the part which goes up to the square of the plate of

  cut (6) with Teflon, so as not to possibly mark the plinth.

  Means for adjusting the cutting deck (6) preferably, by way of nonlimiting example, spacers (4) of several dimensions, which can be graduated and sliding around threaded rods (3) allowing rapid change of the spacers ( 4) depending on the cutting height.

  It can be specified that the rollers (5) provided with eccentric system allow the depth adjustment of the cutting means (9), according to the thickness of the product to be cut.

  This invention makes it possible to cut quickly and within

better working conditions.

  It takes particular care thanks to its maneuverability, its ease of use,

  due to the rapid change of the different cutting heights.

  When cutting, the worker's working position will be less painful for him once the blade engaged in the coating, he will have no other chore than pushing the tool, pressed on the coating and pushed forward.

  Two variants not shown are possible:

  - attach a heat source of the thermal blower type to the front of the cutting direction, making it possible to soften the coating before cutting.

  - fix on the cutting deck (6), an electric knife with or without wire, or an electric scissor.

  Furthermore, the tool may have clamping means (10) from the cutting deck (6) to the chassis deck (2) using knurls (10) fixed to the threaded rods.

Claims (6)

  (1) Tool intended to cut the surplus material during the installation of plinth lifts, characterized in that it comprises a chassis plate (2), a cutting plate (6), means for adjusting the height of section (4) relative to the ground and to the chassis plate (2). Said cutting deck (6) comprising cutting means placed facing the coating to be cut.   Said chassis plate (2) comprising at least 4 wheels (1) ensuring the movement and stability of the entire tool.   (2) Tool according to claim n0l characterized in that the adjustment means consist of graduated spacers (4) sliding around threaded rods   (3) allowing the rapid change of the spacers (4) according to the cutting height.   (3) Tool according to claims 1 and 2 characterized in that it comprises rollers provided with eccentric system (5) fixed on the cutting deck (6) allowing the depth adjustment of the cutting means (9), according to the thickness of the product to be cut.   (4) Tool according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting means (9) are fixed to the cutting deck (6) and are held by means of small lugs giving the inclination of the means of section (9), the assembly is locked using a clamping plate (7) to the section frame.   (5) Tool according to claim n04, characterized in that the cutting means (9) can be in different forms, for example an electric chisel will be fixed on the chassis plate (2) always keeping the same adjustment means in height.   (6) Tool according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it has clamping means (10) from the cutting deck (6) to the chassis deck (2) using knurled wheels (10) fixed on the threaded rods (3) thus allowing a blocking sr and making the tool rigid during its movement during cutting.
