  PACKAGING IN SEMI-RIGID MATERIAL, INCLUDING A BODY

  ON WHICH A COVER IS ARTICULATED BY A LINE OF

FOLDING.

  The invention relates to a packaging made of a semi-material

  rigid, such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, comprising a packaging body and a cover capable of covering at least part of this body, on which it is articulated

by a fold line.

  Many types of packaging are known, the body of which, open at least partially at its upper part, comprises a bottom part of polygonal shape, generally rectangular, to which are adjoined by fold lines of the side walls hinged together by fold lines perpendicular to this bottom, the cover itself being attached to one of these side walls by a line of

folding parallel to the bottom.

  These packages are used for the packaging of extremely diverse products, for example granular or pulverulent products, such as detergents, or alternatively tablets forming elementary doses of detergent product for washing machine or dishwasher, or

  more confectionery or chewing gum dragees.

  For all these applications, when the full packaging is sold, the cover is generally locked in the closed position on the body and an opening means such as a tear strip or a line of breakers

  is usually provided to release the cover.

  To take doses of the packaged product, the cover is pivoted around the joint formed by the fold line to separate it from the body and provide access to the interior thereof. To close the packaging, the lid is simply folded down so that it

come and comb the body again.

  In this position, it is however desirable that the cover, without being truly locked in the closed position, offers a certain resistance to

  opening, on the one hand, to prevent it from accidentally opening and its contents being spilled, on the other hand, to prevent young children from entering it

  To this end, it has been proposed for many years to provide, on at least one wall of the body which the cover comes to cover in the closed position, at least one blocking element such as a tab, a tongue or an articulated band. on this wall by a fold line parallel to the bottom and folded towards the outside of the body, while a lateral part of the cover, which comes to bear against the external face of this wall in the closed position, has a recessed part arranged in a position such that the blocking element comes there

  To open the cover, it is therefore necessary to exert an effort against the blocking element to release it from its housing and this effort, admittedly minimal, is however sufficient to prevent accidental opening of the packaging or prevent young child

to access it.

  Such packaging with a sound effect locking member are well known in the art and numerous variants have been proposed (see, for example,

  US-A-4,326,631, US-A-5,163,734, WO-A-95/05318 or EP-A-0 679 581). This type of packaging is the subject of the present invention and it aims to propose a particularly simple form of implementation of such a blocking system, intended to equip packaging of the kind

  mentioned above, of the type known as "wrap" in the technique.

  The present invention therefore relates to a packaging made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, of the type comprising: - a body open at its upper part, this body comprising a bottom part of rectangular shape, perpendicular to which are erected four adjoining side walls, namely a first and a second wall parallel to each other and adjoining the bottom, to which are respectively adjoined by fold lines perpendicular to the bottom, two first flaps and two second flaps, each first flap being applied against one of the second flaps and made integral with the latter to form jointly with it a third and a fourth wall of at least partially double thickness, mutually parallel; - And a cover capable of covering the body, this cover comprising a rectangular panel articulated on the upper part of the first wall of the body by a discharge parallel to the bottom and around which it can pivot to come to bear, in the closed position of the packaging, against the upper edges of the second, third and fourth walls of the body, two parallel walls of the cover being articulated by fold lines on this panel along two sides thereof perpendicular to the delivery, while a third wall is articulated on this panel by a fold line parallel to the discharge, two flaps being articulated laterally on this third wall by fold lines perpendicular to the panel and being respectively applied against the internal face of the other two walls,

  with which they are made integral, so as to at least partially double the thickness of these walls, the latter being arranged in such a way that in the closed position of the packaging, they are applied respectively against the external face third and fourth walls of the body; this packaging being characterized in that at each flap or at each side wall of the cover is attached by a fold line parallel to the panel thereof at least one element for holding the cover in the folded position, such as a tab, a tongue or strip, folded down towards the adjoining flap or the adjoining wall in the direction of this panel, while in the flap constituting the external part of the third and fourth body walls is provided in corresponding position at least one opening closed internally by the flap constituting the internal part of this wall, this opening being arranged in such a way that the associated retaining element comes to engage there completely and snap into it when the cover covers the body, in

  packaging closed position.

  As in the packaging of this general type known previously, when it is released and comes to take position in its housing, the blocking element suddenly strikes the bottom of this housing, formed here by the flap constituting the internal part of the wall, and a dry click occurs, which informs the user of the

closing the cover.

  In a manner known per se, before the first opening of the full packaging by its recipient, the body and the cover are rigidly assembled, by gluing for example, and a separation means such as a line of primers for ruptures. or a tear edge, guaranteeing the inviolability of the full package, allows the user to separate from the rest of the cover the part of the latter secured to the body, in order to be able to release this cover.

  Alternatively, the cover can be left free to pivot relative to the body, the full packaging then being delivered to its recipient sheathed with a film of heat-shrinkable or heat-shrinkable plastic, which guarantees the inviolability of the packaging.   This packaging comprises a body 1, comprising a rectangular bottom 2, to which are adjoined by fold lines, along two parallel sides, a first wall 3 and a second wall 4, erected perpendicular to the bottom. Claims (6)

  1. Packaging made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, of the type comprising: - a body (1) open at its upper part, this body comprising a bottom part (2) of rectangular shape, perpendicular to which are erected four adjoining side walls, namely a first and a second wall (3, 4) parallel to each other and adjoining the bottom (2), to which are respectively adjoined by fold lines perpendicular to the bottom, two first flaps (5) and two second flaps (6), each first flap (5) being applied against one of the second flaps (6) and made integral with the latter to form jointly with it a third and a fourth thick walls at least partially double, parallel to each other; - And a cover (18) capable of covering the body (1), this cover comprising a rectangular panel (8) articulated on the upper part of the first wall (3) of the body by a discharge (9) parallel to the bottom (2 ) and around which it can pivot to bear, in the closed position of the packaging, against the upper edges of the second, third and fourth walls of the body (1), two parallel walls (10) of the cover being articulated by fold lines on this panel (8) along two sides thereof perpendicular to the discharge (9), while a third wall (11) is articulated on this panel (8) by a fold line parallel to the discharge (9 ), two flaps (12) being articulated laterally on this third wall (11) by fold lines perpendicular to the panel (8) and being respectively applied against the internal face of the two other walls (10) of which they are made integral, so as to double in m oins partially the thickness of these walls (10), these being arranged so that in the closed position of the packaging, they are applied respectively against the external face of the third and fourth walls of the 2790735   body (1); this packaging being characterized in that at each flap (12) or at each side wall (10 ′) of the cover is attached by a fold line parallel to the panel (8) thereof at least one holding element (13 , 13 ') of the cover in the folded position, such as a tab, a tongue or a strip, folded towards the adjoining flap (12) or the adjoining wall (10') in the direction of this panel (8) while in the flap (6) constituting the external part of the third and fourth body walls (1) is formed in the corresponding position at least one opening (14) closed internally by the flap (5) constituting the internal part of this wall, this opening (14 ) being arranged in such a way that the associated retaining element (13, 13 ′) engages there completely and snaps into it when the cover covers the body (1),   packaging closed position.   2. Packaging according to one of claims 1 to 4,   characterized in that a part (11a) of a wall (11) of the cover (18) is capable of being made rigidly integral with the wall (4) of the body (1) against which it is applied in the folded position of the cover, to guarantee the inviolability of the full packaging, and in that separation means such as a tear strip (11b) or a line of primers for ruptures is provided in this wall (11) for separate the part (lia) integral with   the wall (4) of the body (1) and release the cover (18).   6. Packaging according to one of claims 1 to 4,   characterized in that the full package is delivered to users with the cover (18) free to pivot relative to the body (1) and in that this full package is covered with a film of heat-shrinkable or heat-shrinkable plastic, which guarantees the inviolability of packaging.
