  Various products are known for this which are capable of repelling certain categories of animals, especially those considered to be harmful; many formulations of specific composition have thus been developed by various manufacturers, in general each against a given type of animal or insects: indeed, on the one hand, it does not seem possible to be able to repel all animals with the same product because they react differently to it, and on the other hand it is not desirable, because if we want to distance one or more types of animals, we may want to let it approach '' others (example for flowers, for which it is necessary, for their reproduction, that some

  The problem posed and which, to date, however, does not respond to the various known products, including those described in the patent applications indicated above, is to manufacture a repellant composition which is effective with respect to certain animal hairs, such as '' in particular dogs and cats, while being of very low toxicity towards the men and towards these animal méipes, while preserving an effectiveness with

long term, even at low dosages.

  A solution to the problem posed is a repellent composition for animal hair, comprising at least one basic mixture consisting of diethyltoluamide, of at least one component, if not all of the components of an essential oil of eucalyptus such as eucalyptol, and / or eucalyptus oil, and / or a reconstitution of essential oil of eucalyptus and / or eucalyptus oil, and preferably also at least one if not all components of a lemongrass base or lemongrass essential oil; to obtain the desired efficiency, said base mixture comprises, by total weight of the mixture obtained - at least 35% of diethyltoluamide, and preferably 50%, - at least 8% of eucalyptus essential oil, and preferably 11 %, or at least a percentage of at least one component of eucalyptus essential oil in proportion to its presence in this oil considered with the minimum percentages above, - at least 15% of at least one basic component lemongrass or lemongrass essential oil, and preferably 19%, or at least a percentage of at least one component of this base or lemongrass essential oil in proportion to its presence in this base or this oil considered with the percentages minimum above, - at least 10% of solubilizing product which is moreover a remanence agent for example of the glycol family such as dipropylene glycol.

  The basic mixture constituted by combination of the above products

  above, can be used pure, to impregnate a support and / or be incorporated into the manufacturing material thereof, but can also be diluted in an aqueous formulation agent in which said mixture represents at least 2.5% and preferably 3.5% by weight of the repellent composition thus obtained, in order to keep of course

  Said aqueous formulation agent allowing the dilution of said base mixture, also comprises at least 7%, by weight of the final composition obtained, of solubilizer, such as Rhodiasurf NP 12, as well as various preserving agents: the formulation agent preferably preferably, since it is the cheapest product available for this, treated water as distilled or

  The composition thus obtained, sprayed at 45 grams for an M2 on the ground, is also very ineffective, well below the results of

  Example 1 and even more so in Example 2.

  It is thus verified that only the mixture of DEET and at least one component of eucalyptus essential oil, and all the more so if all the molecules constituting this oil are used and mixed, is very effective, then that it was not obvious to consider a composition, containing such a basic mixture and in which the DEET is then diluted to only 2%, as being repellent for animals with hair, since - on the one hand DEET alone and also diluted to 2% is not effective (example 3), at least against dogs and cats (knowing that it can be effective at high concentration and diffused directly as well, such as in aerosol and not impregnated , but it can then be toxic or at least such a composition would be too expensive), which is moreover confirmed by the numerous patent applications citing such a product combined and diluted in various mixtures but essentially as an insect repellent and can be deposited on the hair of animals to protect them, which goes against the present invention in which DEET is used to repel said animals, and - on the other hand the essential oil of eucalyptus alone ( example 5) or the mixture of DEET diluted as previously to 2% in the final composition and lemongrass base (example 4) are also not

very ineffective.

  It is therefore the basic combination of DEET and at least one component of eucalyptus essential oil which, in an unpredictable manner has, even diluted, a surprising cumulative effect of effectiveness in repelling fur-bearing animals such as dogs and cats. Adding at least one component of a base or fragrance or essential oil of lemongrass enhances this effect and gives the mixture a pleasant odor for humans, and the specific proportions indicated
