Abstract

The breech lock for a firearm is shaped like a cartridge casing and locks in place in the chamber using a key actuated lock. The effective length of the casing can be varied by moving a threaded stop. The lock can actuate a conical wedge to drive a cam engaging the wall of the chamber.

Description

  The present invention relates to a safety device for a firearm.

  According to research carried out with the INPI; I realized that the locking system for a relatively similar device did not have a key. The latter to avoid an accident caused by weapons and ammunition within reach of children or entrusted to inexperienced hands. In short, this locking system prevents us from

  uses the weapon without the owner's knowledge.

  The device according to the invention overcomes this drawback by the use of a

  obstruction socket of the weapon chamber thanks to its operating key.

The screw (3) activates the plate (2) which will exert a blockage by lateral friction against the chamber of the weapon for locking

of the system.

  To unlock the weapon, simply insert the key (4) with the help: of the return spring (6) which helps the plate (2) to return to its original housing and

  the stop ring (12) and its spring which facilitate the ejection of the system.

  Note that the diameter of the locking system varies depending on the caliber of the weapon.

  According to a variant, not illustrated, the screw (3) can be replaced

  by an eccentric with a small cam for locking

  the use of so-called small arms, for example 22 L.R.
