Abstract

The present invention relates to a support structure, and more

  particularly a support structure for glasses.

  Until now, spectacle frames have been either of the conventional type with support points on the nose and ears, or of the headband type with head, frontal, temporal, parietal or occipital supports in opposition to two

  Referring to Figures 1 and 2, there is shown a first embodiment of a support structure 10 according to the present invention, particularly suitable for use for a new type of glasses. The support structure 10 according to the invention comprises a branch 20 which extends on the upper side of the head, that is to say on the top of the head, from the front of the head to the back of the head. Thus, said branch 20 does not come into contact with the ears as can be seen in FIG. 1. According to the invention, said branch 20 comprises at least one support means 30 which is adapted to cooperate with the head in such a way maintaining the branch 20 at a determined distance from the surface of the head. As shown in Figures I and 2, said support means 30 can be made by legs or support feet whose free ends are supported on the head. In particular, in the example shown, the support means 30 is produced by a pair of legs so as to form two support points on the head. Obviously, the number of legs is not limiting and can be varied according to the wishes or needs of each user.
