Abstract

The apparatus designed to reduce the toxic effects of venom injected into humans or animals by insects, snakes or poisonous fish, consists of a heating element with an elliptical mirror to concentral the heat on the point of entry of the vanom, destroying its thermolabile properties. The heat can be provided by a 2.5V-0.5A electric incandescant light bulb powered by two 1.5V R6 batteries. The bulb is situated at the centre of the elliptical reflector so that its rays can be concentrated on the venom's point of entry. The apparatus is held, either by the person who has been bitten or stung, or by a third party, so that the focal point of the concentrated light rays is as small as possible and does not actually touch the skin.

La presente invention reside dans une application nouvelle des dispositifs de chauffage agissant par concentration des radiations émises par une source d'énergie rayonnante: application à la neutralisation partielle ou totale des propriétes nocives et notamment allergisantes des venins, à leur point d'inoculation et des celle-ci, chez l'homme ou l'animal.
