Abstract

Strap or cable tightening mechanism, comprising an operating arm (20) and a second arm (10) pivotally connected to each other by a pin (30), two ratchet wheels (31) attached on the axis (30), a lock (21) slidably engaged in the operating arm, and a spring returning the lock (21) into engagement with the ratchet wheels (31). Two holes (24) are provided in the latch (21) and two hooks (14) protrude from the second arm to mate with the holes (24) so as to prevent the operating arm (20) from rotating by compared to the second arm.

CLAIM   1.- Strap tightening mechanism including   an operating arm (20) and a second arm (10)   pivotally connected to each other by an axis (30), S at least one ratchet wheel (31) fixed on said axis (30), a latch (21) slidably engaged in said maneuvering arm (20), and a spring (22) which acts on said latch (21) to bring it into engagement with   said ratchet wheel (31), characterized in that it comprises   further takes at least one hole (24) formed in said   latch (21), and at least one hook (14) which makes sail-   ties up from said second arm (10) to engage said hole (24) and mate with said latch (21) so as to prevent said arm from   maneuver (20) to rotate relative to said second arm (10).
