Abstract

The links between its components make it possible, at rest, to route the telephone line (VIII) onto the public phone (V) so that it can be used in the usual way and so that, simultaneously, the fax machine (VI) is also connected to the said telephone line so as to be able to receive messages without sending being possible, the said links furthermore being set up so that, during communications, the fax machine (VI), the MINITEL (VII) and the public telephone (V) are linked either to the telephone line (VIII) or to the dummy telephone line (XI) by means of inverters (I3, II3 and III3) of the control units (I, II, III) and by virtue of the detectors (I4, II4, III4) of the latter so that the telephone line (VIII) can be connected only onto the single terminal used, the public phone (V) still being connected either to the telephone outlet (VI1) of the fax machine, or to the dummy telephone line (XI).
