Abstract

The subject of the present invention is an electrotherapy or electromyography probe with adjustable distance between the two electrodes and replacement of the penetrating electrode. It consists of a penetrating electrode 1 screwed onto the spindle 2 which passes through the electrode 3 (from which it is electrically insulated) and is screwed into or unscrewed from the shaft 4. This electrode 1 can be replaced, if required, by another smaller or larger one 5 and 6. This invention is intended to the field of medical electrology and finds its applications in functional reeducation.

Description

ANAL PROBE OF ELECTROTHERAPY AND ELECTROMYOGRAPHY
The subject of the present invention is an anal probe
electrotherapy and electromyography.

It concerns the field of medical electrology and finds
its applications for example in functional rehabilitation.

In electrotherapy, there is only one type of anal probe
whose 2 electrodes are fixed and not interchangeable. The
very different morphology of the subjects does not adapt well to this state
in fact (the length of the anal canal as well as the size of the sphincter
internal anal are very different from one subject to another).

The present invention overcomes these drawbacks. Indeed,
the penetrating electrode is adjustable in distance from the electro
fixed trode which remains outside. We can adjust the distance
inter-electrode along the length of the anal canal. This setting is obtained by
simple rotation of the axis (a threaded rod), which screws more or less
in the probe handle; the electrodes approach or move away
annoy. A- variant- can be marked-out with a smooth axis and a
locking needle screw screwed radially in the handle.

On the other hand, the size of the penetrating electrode can be adapted
to the diameter of the anal sphincter by simply replacing this
penetrating electrode by another identical but smaller or larger size. This operation is done by unscrewing and re-screwing the new penetrating electrode on its axis.

In the attached schematic drawing (Fig. 1), the penetrating electrode
1 is screwed onto the axis 2. This axis passes through the fixed electrode 3 (of which it
is electrically insulated by a heat-shrinkable sheath) and will be screwed into the handle 4. The contract of the fixed electrode 3 is brought by a wire in the handle to an outlet by banana plug
female diameter 2 mm at the end of this handle. The contact of the penetrating electrode 1 is made by being taken on the axis 2 (which comes out at the end of the sleeve) and in which is drilled axially a 2 mm diameter hole to accommodate a banana plug therein. So by screwing or
unscrewing the axis 2, the two electrodes 1 and 3 are moved towards or away.

By unscrewing the electrode 1 on the axis 2, it is possible to screw on another electrode (Fig. 2) of different size 5 and 6.
