Abstract

The portable personal computer (2) has a removable modem card (3) which is insertable into a slot in the computer face. A modem connection (4) connects to the card and an interface box (5). The interface plugs into the outer wall of the computer.The interface box is connected via a connection plug (13a) to a multiple wire cable (7) and the other end of the cable has a plug (13b) which connects to a telephone plug (6) which connects in turn into a standard telephone line socket.
