Abstract

Case for storing pieces or similar articles. It consists of two parts (1, 2) which can be displaced with respect to each other: - one (1) of which includes at least one cavity (4, 5) intended to receive the object or objects to be stored; - the second element (2) is in the form of a small plate and can pivot against the surface defined by the upper edges (6, 7, 8) of the first element (1), the assembly of the elements (1, 2) being obtained by means of a cylindrical bearing surface (13) in relief, provided on the lower face of the small plate (2) and capable of being pressed forcibly inside a corresponding housing (14).

 The present invention relates to an improved case making it possible to store articles of small dimensions, such as coins, tokens, cards, labels, etc., and which not only ensures effective protection of object or objects, but can be associated with a carrying ring. -key (or similar such as an adjustable flexible link), and above all, can be opened and closed easily when you want to extract the object or objects it contains and put them back in place.

 In the following description, the invention will be described for a case associated with a key ring, but it is obvious that this is not limiting and that such a case could be used alone or be associated with another element that a ring, for example a flexible link, of adjustable length.

 In addition, the invention will be described for a box intended to receive coins or tokens of circular shape, but it is obvious that such an application is not limiting and that such a box could be designed to receive other types of objects, for example to maintain the presentation of a label or card, the dimensions of the case being adapted according to the dimensions of the object or objects that it must contain.

 It has long been proposed to make boxes or boxes of small dimensions in order to store various objects, such boxes essentially comprising a receptacle or storage chamber intended to receive the object or objects, with which is associated a movable cover or removable.

 Among the most widespread solutions, the lid is associated with the receptacle either by means of a hinge, the opening and closing being effected by pivoting along this hinge, or by means of lateral slides, the removal and placing in place of the cover then making by sliding (in the manner of a pen tray).

 In the case where the opening and closing of the lid is obtained by means of a hinge, if the access to the interior of the storage chamber is easy, on the other hand, problems arise as regards the resistance of said hinge in use, as well as blocking the cover in the closed position.

 The housings in which the cover is removed and put in place by means of lateral slides, present as for eu. as disadvantages, to cause a separation of the cover of the storage chamber when the assembly is open, which increases the risk of loss.

 Finally, in both cases, it is not possible to use such boxes in association with a key ring (or the like), while such a possibility is very often advisable to avoid losing said box. . In addition, such housings with a pivoting or sliding cover are difficult to obtain by molding a plastiae material.

 Now we have found, and this is what is the object of the present invention, a new type of case which allows and to solve all of these problems.

 In general, the invention therefore relates to a new type of case, the constituent elements of which are produced by molding a plastic material, and which is in the form of an assembly essentially comprising two parts which can be moved one by relation to the other and defining between them a volume intended to receive the object or objects to be stored.

The housing according to the invention is characterized in that
one of the elements has at least one cavity intended to receive the object or objects to be stored and / or to be presented,

 Furthermore, the underside of the plate has, in the angle opposite to that forming the pivot axis, raised stops forming stop notches when the assembly is closed. In addition, a slide forming an additional stop is preferably provided at the upper part of the open storage chamber and serves to guide the end of the cover or cover and to ensure that it is held in the closed position.

 Finally, according to a preferred embodiment according to the invention, the compartment or compartments or cavities provided in the storage chamber are open towards the outside, which allows, not only to see the object inside the case, but also, facilitates the establishment and removal of said object.

 The compartment or compartments intended to receive the object will have a shape and dimensions which vary according to the applications. Thus, in the case where the case according to the invention is intended to receive one or more parts, the cavities produced in the storage chamber are of cylindrical shape and have dimensions which correspond to the dimensions of the parts to be stored.

In the case where it is desired to use such a case to store a card, a label, or any other flat object, the compartment will be produced in the form of a rectangular cavity of small thickness containing said object; in such a case, in order to be able to view the information carried by the card or label, the cover or cover may include an open window or be made of transparent material.

 If we refer to the attached diagrams, and more particularly to Figures 1, 2 and 3, the case according to the invention which in this case is intended to receive coins (for example two pieces of different dimensions ), consists essentially of two parts (1, 2.), which can be moved relative to each other and which define between them a volume (3) intended to receive the object or objects to be stored. In the illustrated embodiment of the fore where the case according to the invention is intended to receive coins (or tokens), the volume (3) comprises two cavities (4,5) of cylindrical shape, the diameter of which corresponds for example said diameter differs from pieces of ten francs currently used and whose depth is slightly less than the thickness of said pieces and this, so that these pieces protrude slightly relative to the bottom (6) of the cavity (3), and come flush with the level of the upper edges (7,8 of the element (1). Furthermore, in the illustrated embodiment, the cavities (4,5) are open towards the outside so that the parts are visible, the parts resting on peripheral rings (10,11) provided at the base of the element (1). As said previously, the compartments or cavities ensuring the maintenance of the object inside the storage chamber have shapes and function dimensions elements to be stored, so when you want to use such a case to store a card (credit card, business card, label, etc.), the compartments have rectangular shapes corresponding to the dimensions of said card.  According to the invention, the plate or cover (2) and the element 51) presenting the storage cavity are associated with each other so that said flat plate can pivot against the surface defined by the upper edges (7,8, 9) of the first element (1) and this, along an axis XX located in an angle (12) of said housing.

Such an assembly between the two elements (1,2) is obtained, in the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1, by means of a cylindrical bearing (13), bearing whose structure emerges more particularly from the partial view from below. (Figure 2) and which forms an integral part of the lower face (2b) of the sealing plate (2). This bearing surface (13) is capable of being forcibly fitted inside a corresponding housing (14) provided in the thickness of the element (1) in the angle (12). Such a force connection allows by itself to obtain a very good connection between the two elements (1) and (2). To improve this connection according to the preferred embodiment according to the invention, an additional bracket designated by the general reference (15), also obtained by molding, is used. Such a stirrup is in the form of a plate (16) comprising flexibility zones (17) and at the ends of which are provided on the one hand, a cylindrical bearing surface (18) comprising an internal recess C 19) which can be recessed inside a recess (20) provided in the bearing surface (13), and, on the other hand, a complementary part (21) which can be inserted inside the recess (li) of the bearing surface (18). Thanks to such a connecting bracket, it is possible to ensure a parasitic immobilization of the elements Cl> and (2) relative to one another, while allowing pivoting of the element (2 ) relative to the element (1) and also to associate the case according to the invention with a ring (22), for example of the key-holder type,
Furthermore, and this is more particularly apparent from FIG. 3 which is a bottom view of the opposite angle of the plate (2) to the pivot axis XX, relief stops (24,25) are provided on the lower face (2b) of said plate (2). These stops, of small thickness, generally of the order of one millimeter, are spaced from each other by a distance e corresponding substantially to the thickness of the side wall of the element (1). From this den, when the plate (2) covers the element (t), the side wall is trapped between the two stops (24,25), which ensures perfect immobilization. Such immobilization can also be reinforced by providing at the end (36) of the element (1) an additional slide (27), one end (28) of which is open, and the other (29> of which is a stopper).

 Finally, in the embodiment illustrated by FIG. 1, the element (1) forming a retaining cavity, comprises a cutaway (29), in the angle opposite to the pivot axis XX, which facilitates the grip of the end (30) of the plate, end which may have the shape of a tongue.

 Thanks to such an assembly comprising two cavities (4,5) of suitable dimensions, it is therefore possible to store two parts (31,32) (see FIG. 4).

 Of course, the invention is not limited as said above, to the example illustrated by the attached diagrams and it can be envisaged to use housings according to the invention comprising cavities having a shape other than cylindrical, for example a rectangular-shaped cavity allowing the installation of a card or the like. In such a case, either the element (1) or the element (2), may include a window making it possible to directly read the indications carried on said card. Such a reading can also be obtained by producing one of the elements, the plate (2) for example, from a transparent material.
