Abstract

The subject of the present invention is a convertible toy made from artificial fur, fabrics or the like. It consists of a combination of two subjects 1, 2 made from artificial fur, fabrics or another flexible material, each forming an empty envelope and connected via the edges 4 of a common opening 3 in such a manner that one of the subjects can be inserted entirely in the other, acting as stuffing and giving it its volume, it being possible for the said common opening to be closed by an appropriate means such as buttons 5 and attachments 6. It is intended for young and very young children.

Description

TRANSFORMABLE TOY, PLUSH, FABRICS OR OTHER
The present invention relates to a transformable toy, plush, fabric or other.

It is intended for young and very young children.

There are many transformable toys for children.

Most often, they are made of rigid or semi-rigid plastic and include metal parts such as hinge pins, which makes them dangerous for very young children. Plush toys or fabrics, although still very popular, are very rare.

The device according to the present invention overcomes these drawbacks. Indeed, not only does it make plush toys or particularly attractive and educational fabrics, especially for very young children, but its peculiarities can encourage the creation of a whole series of new toys.

It consists of the combination of two plush subjects, fabrics or other flexible material, each forming an empty envelope, and connected by the edges of a common opening in such a way that one of the subjects can be introduced entirely into the other, playing the role of wadding giving it its volume, said common opening being able to be closed by an appropriate means, such as buttons and fasteners.

In the accompanying drawings, given by way of nonlimiting example, of one of the embodiments of the subject of the invention:
Figure 1 shows the device as a whole, the two subjects being apparent.

Figures 3 and 4 are also schematic sections showing respectively at an intermediate stage and at the final stage, how one of the subjects is hidden in the other.

Each of the subjects is formed of an empty envelope made of plush, fabrics, any flexible material, or a combination of these materials, and has an opening 3, ventral in the case of animals. The two openings are connected by their edges 4, over their entire periphery. One of the sides of the common opening 3 thus produced is provided with buttons 5 preferably covered with fabric, the other side comprising fasteners 6 which can be combined with the buttons to close the opening 3.

The transformation takes place by detaching the fasteners 6 from the buttons 5, which allows the edges 4 of the common opening 6 to be spread and the concealed subject 1, the butterfly for example, to be removed from the other subject 2 (the caterpillar). The previously visible subject 2 is then introduced into the other subject 1 (FIG. 3) of which it will form the flock thereby giving it its volume, then the opening 3 is closed using the buttons 5 and fasteners 6.

In the case illustrated here, the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly was then carried out.

According to this principle, we can imagine all kinds of transformations that can have a symbolic and even therapeutic didactic role, for example - The mouse transforms into an elephant, representing the very small who will become very large, - The turtle transforming into a dragon, expressing polarity ying-yang, feminine-masculine, night-day, cold-hot, etc.

The buttons 5 and fasteners 6 can be replaced by any other closing means, such as loop and hook bands or zipper in synthetic material.

Thanks to its didactic aspect, to the fascination that it is likely to exert on children and thanks to the fact that it does not contain any hard material, the device which has just been described lends itself particularly well to the production of toys. intended for very young children and can find a special place in nurseries and nursery schools.

The positioning of the various constituent elements gives this device a maximum of useful effects which had not been obtained to date by similar devices.
