Abstract

The invention relates to a system making it possible automatically to trigger a hazard warning signal from a vehicle in the event of an impact or sudden braking. The system comprises a cylindrical box 1 enclosing a metal ball 2 and a fixed permanent magnet 3 placed below the centre of the lower base surface of the cylinder 4. The lateral surface 5 and the lower 4 and upper 6 base surfaces of the cylinder consist of conducting materials electrically insulated from one another. During an impact, the metal ball 2 will be displaced and will strike the lateral surface of the cylinder 5 forming a conductive bridge between the lateral surface 5 and the lower base surface 4 of the cylinder thus triggering the operation of the hazard warning lights.
