Abstract

A pet litter manufacturing method consists of mixing a granulated. absorbent material, e.g. attapulgite, with a second material, also in granular form, which is impregnated with Eucalyptus oil so that it gives off a pleasant perfume when the litter becomes damp. The material impregnated with the Eucalyptus oil is in the form of granules of fossilised seaweed, chosen for its porous nature, and the Eucalyptus oil, or other substance, added to it is selected for its deodorising properties. The fossilised seaweed granules are soaked in the oil and then dried, after which they are added to the granulated absorbent material while it is being sieved, producing a mixture of selected proportions. La présente invention concerne les litières pour animaux de compagnie et plus particulièrement un produit évitant l'emanation de mauvaises odeurs. The present invention relates to litter boxes for pets and more particularly to a product preventing the emanation of bad odors.

Les litières sont constituées, de particules absorbantes, le plus souvent du type minérales sélectionnées pour leur capacité à retenir liteau contenue dans les urines et les excréments aténuant ainsi le dégagement des molécules volatiles du type ammoniac responsables des odeurs désagréables. De ce fait, plus l'humidité de la litière augmente, moins son pouvoir de retention de l'ammoniac est éfficace, ce qui poussé certains fabricants à proposer des parfums qui s'utilisent par soupoudrage sur la litière créant ainsi la présence de particules fines qui ont pour inconvénient de coller aux pattes des animaux.Et obligeant l'utilisateur à posséder deux produits, le premier pour capter l'humidité, le second pour masquer les mauvaises odeurs. Tout d'abord le support : Nous avons retenu l'attapulgite qui présente parmi tous les supports disponibles, celui qui a le plus grand pouvoir de retention de l'humidité. Cette opération doit entre effectuée dans un temps nécessaire et suffisant pour l'absorption totale de l'essence par les granules d'algues. Ce prémélange rejoindra ensuite le support juste avant le conditionnement et ceci par un procédé de dosage en continu de façon à éviter la manipulation excessive du support qui risquerait de provoquer des brisures. Claims

CHARACTERIZED BY THE FACT, that the essences of Eucalyptus are fixed on the porous support algae fossilized by immersion and stirring and that the attapulgite support is sieved to join the premix in the chosen proportions.
