Abstract

Each module has a vertical leg (12) which slides vertically on a support (3). This has two legs (10,11) which are separated angularly and form a tripod with the vertical leg. A curved part (4), connected to the top of the legs, supports the table top (2) which is the sector of a circle. The legs have two vertical parts (7,8) which are joined together by a bar (9). A ring, in which the vertical leg slides, is fixed to thee top of the bar. It is held by a key put through holes in the foot and the ring. USE - The table is made from modules and can be used indoors or outdoors.

Description

MODULAR TABLE.

The invention relates to a modular table which can therefore be used for multiple applications both indoors and outdoors.

The modular table according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises:
- on the one hand, a vertical foot capable of moving along a vertical axis
- At least one module consisting of a plate fixed to a support having two feet angularly spaced apart, intended to form a tripod with the vertical foot, and a means capable of sliding and positioning said module along the vertical foot.

Advantageously, in practice
- the table has a plurality of identical modules regularly arranged around the vertical leg
- the table has three modules in the form of sectors of a circle of 1200;
- the table has four square modules
- the vertical sliding foot has a telescopic handle
- The vertical base is hollow so as to receive the base of a parasol; in a variant, the vertical foot is constituted by the very foot of a parasol
the support of the plate is constituted by a tubular element, in one or more pieces, bent, comprising a support proper, two uprights and the two feet angularly separated
the positioning means is constituted by a connection lug welded to the two vertical uprights of the support, having positioning orifices for a clamping screw and a ring coaxial with said uprights fixed to said connection lug and in which said vertical leg slides which is fixed in position by a clamping means through the positioning holes.

The manner in which the invention can be implemented and the advantages which result therefrom will emerge more clearly from the following exemplary embodiments, given by way of non-limiting example, in support of the appended figures.

Figure 1 is a schematic exploded perspective view of a modular table according to the invention.

FIG. 2 shows in detail in perspective the sliding means and positioning characteristic of the invention which is shown in section in FIG. 3.

Figures 4 and 5 show respectively in perspective two embodiments of the invention from the same module.

According to the original characteristic of the invention (see Figure 1), the table designated by the general reference (1) comprises a. plate (2) in the shape of an opening circle sector 1200 intended to be fixed by any suitable means on a support designated by the general reference (3). This support is produced in a tubular element, in particular in a bent steel tube, in one or more parts so as to be removable. This support (3) firstly comprises a support proper (4) defining a horizontal plane whose ends (5) and (6) are connected to two vertical uprights respectively (7) and (8) connected to each other by a connection lug (9). These two uprights (7) and (8) are then always connected continuously to two feet respectively (10) and (11) angularly spaced.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the modular table comprises a vertical foot (12) intended to slide and move along a vertical axis (see Figures 2 and 3).

As seen in Figures 2 and 3, the two parallel vertical tubular uprights (7) and (8) are interconnected by a connection lug (9) which is for example welded (13). This tab has regularly arranged orifices (14). On this connection lug (9), there is also welded an also metallic ring (15) in which the characteristic vertical tube (12) can slide. A threaded key (16) (17) - is inserted into the hole (14) suitable for the appropriate height, tighten the tube (12) in the ring (15). It follows that the foot (12) forms a tripod with the other two feet (10,11) angularly separated.

In a simplified embodiment shown in Figure 5, the table has a single tray module (2). The upper end of the sliding foot (12) can receive a grip handle (18).

In another embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the table is formed of three elementary modules, the elements of which are designated by the indices (') and (") arranged around a single vertical leg (12). on request, by combining identical elementary modules, three types of table can be obtained.

As already said, in a variant, the vertical sliding tube (12) can receive the base of a parasol.

In another advantageous variant, the sliding foot (12) is replaced by the same foot of the parasol.

The tables according to the invention are characterized by their great simplicity, their ease of assembly and disassembly, their great versatility. They can therefore be used successfully both indoors and outdoors.
