Abstract

The object of the present invention is to increase the speed and safety of motorised aquatic vessels by disconnecting the weighty element: the compartment carrying the pilot and the engine, from the float which two elements remain connected by articulated suspensions. The float, of delta shape, is divided longitudinally into two parts which are joined by four transverse rings, the join being achieved by means of a suspension system. The weighty element consists of the compartment which is in the form of a semi cylindrical shell reinforced externally by four rings which are inscribed inside the four rings of the float corresponding to them in which they slide freely with a tight fit. Operation: by virtue of the low position of its centre of gravity the shell always remains in the vertical plane regardless of the ups and downs which the movement of the waters imposes on the float element. Since the latter is designed symmetrically with respect to the median axis (float element and steering system) the vessel can be overturned by 180 DEG without the propulsion and steering conditions being interrupted. Moreover, the lateral position of the steering elements makes it possible to achieve fast bends with a small radius.

Description

The object of the present invention is to increase the speed and safety of motorized propulsion water craft. The traditional solution is based on the unit of the container element. or supporting: the float and the weight element: the load.

The invention consists in the junction of these two elements:
- The delta-shaped float is divided longitudinally into two parts connected by 4 transverse rings Fig 1.1 The junction between them is made by a suspension element constituted by two lateral tubular guides fixed on each ring for the passage of the suspension axis. This connects the frame of the float to the crown by crossing two double action springs: Fig 2.4.

- The weight element consists of the passenger compartment. Inside each ring of the float element is a second ring sliding freely with greasy friction on its internal face Fig 2.3. The internal rings constitute the external reinforcement of a hull with semi-cylindrical section intended for the cockpit and the engine F ig 1.2.

First Note
The weight of the pilot, of the engine, plus possibly a light ballast at the base means that the position of the center of gravity of the passenger compartment Fig 2.5. and its freedom of movement relative to the crowns of the float lead it whatever the conditions to remain in the vertical plane
Secondly, the float element is free to position itself according to the vicissitudes of the liquid surface without repercussions on the passenger compartment.

It should be noted that this float element is designed symmetrically with respect to the axis Fig 2.1. and that it has at the rear outside two directional flaps Fig 2.2 .; Fig 1.3 .. Each flap is divided in half by the attachment of the steering linkage which is at the level of the axis of symmetry
Fig 2.3. and will join the cockpit following the median plane.

Thus the float assembly is perfectly reversible, the position and the action of the directional flaps not changing whatever the face of the float which is in contact with water.

The assembly described provides the pilot, the engine and possibly the load with continuous vertical stability.

In the extreme case the float can be brought under the pressure of the waves to complete a rotation of 1800 without the cockpit being in distress or mbEe in the impossibility of continuing to ensure the propulsion and the direction of the craft
It should be noted that for this it is necessary that the displacement in volume of each lateral float element is sufficient to allow the cabin to be kept out of the water when in its rotational movement of 1800 the float element is to 900
Furthermore, this same displacement volume allows the cockpit in normal position to be above the level of immersion of the machine in order to facilitate the full action of the suspension system.
