Abstract

The subject of the present invention is a machine intended for producing earthworm compost. According to the invention, a machine of the type comprising a casing, means for loading the said casing and loading means of the manure spreader type, is characterised in that the said loading means consist of an elevator 8 with small bars 38 having a plate 40 inclined at approximately 50 DEG to the horizontal, the said elevator being capable of being moved along its midplane 41 so as to allow adjustment of the height h of its lower end above the ground. Description

La présente invention est du domaine des activités agricoles et elle a plus particulièrement pour objet un engin destiné à la fabrication du lombricompost, dite lombriculture. The present invention is in the field of agricultural activities and it relates more particularly to a machine intended for the manufacture of vermicompost, called vermiculture.

On rappelle que le lombricompost est constitué par les déjections des lombrics encore appelés vers de terre et que ce produit est très apprécié en horticulture pour la constitution de terreau. On rappelle aussi qu'un processus moderne de fabrication consiste à former sur de vastes étendues, des andains parallèles de fumier ou d'autres déchets organiques pouvant être digérés par les lombrics. Le processus comprend essentiellement trois opérations : le nourrissement, l'ensemencement et la récolte.Le nourrissement consiste à déposer sur un andain déjà formé une couche de fumier frais, l'ensemencement consiste à déposer sur un andain non encore ensemencé et constitué de fumier frais une certaine quantité de lombrics, la récolte consiste en premier lieu à séparer les lombrics de l'andain essentiellement constitué de lombricompost et en second lieu à charger le lombricompost sur un véhicule ; une exploitation rationnelle du processus consistera, grâce à l'engin proposé par l'invention, à rassembler en une seule opération les opérations de séparation d'une part et d'ensemencement d'autre part.
