Abstract

The invention relates to a device capable of ensuring, from inside the room, a locking of a door by immobilising the handle in the upper position. It consists of an elongate lever 1 which is displaced by pivoting about a shaft 2 located in the lower part, this taking place parallel to the plane of the door and/or of the lock. At the other end of the lever, opposite that having the shaft hole, is bent, in such a way that this flattened portion (when the lever is in the upper position) comes into contact with the lower plane of the handle 4.

The present invention relates to a device for locking a door from inside a room.

 The closing of a door is traditionally, from the inside, carried out using a lock or a lock accessible or not using a key from the outside and generally requires either the use a key, or the use of an object complementary to the main lock such as a lock.

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended to lock inside the armored doors whose locking is provided by two, three or more bolts and to which the addition of a lock is not originally provided. The subsequent addition of the traditional lock has a major drawback since the door is armored, the holes required for fixing are expensive and are difficult to position, or to perform, due to the linkages necessary for locking the top and bottom bolts.

 Furthermore, in the hypothesis of the existence of an armored door equipping HLMs, it is customary not to modify the state of the existing one, under penalty of having to reconstitute the initial state when leaving the dwelling.
